Summary:
Word gets out that there’s a fighting tournament in Londinium, but Arawn knows that they can’t participate if members of the Empire do. Still, Morgan wants to go to look for something called the Akaeda (lit. red branch), and Ogam convinces Arawn to let them. Once at the tournament, one of the first fights that the group watches is between a giant and a miner elf. The elf manages to win, and when she gets surrounded by troops for participating as a child, she digs her way out of trouble. Arawn is waiting for her at the spot she emerges, and he tries to recruit her to make weapons for him, but she refuses at first.
The next fight is between two soldiers of the Empire: Octavia and Bubulcus. Octavia quickly proves that she is more skilled than Bubulcus, forcing him to rely on chariot archers as backup. Feeling that this is unfair, Morgan gets involved and helps Octavia out. The two of them are able to take out the chariots and knock out Bubulcus, and afterward, Octavia is grateful to Morgan even though she figures out which side Morgan is on. Unfortunately for Morgan, she ends up not finding out anything about the Akaeda. On the way home, Arawn notices that the miner elf is following them, and Ogam makes her realize who Arawn is. She introduces herself as Rathty, and she’s now willing to help.

Well, it’s great to see Octavia finally put that annoying idiot in his place, however the fact that she didn’t kill him makes me think that unfortunately he’ll be back again for revenge. I’m a bit surprised though that she still hasn’t joined Arawn’s group given how quickly everyone else does (Rathty being the example this week), though I guess her being on good terms with Morgan is probably setting up for that. In any case, the action was again the high point of the episode, and Octavia got some really nice poses and dodges. They even managed to throw in a panty shot, so there’s something for everyone.
Aside from Octavia, this episode also introduced some background on Rathty and on Morgan’s quest, and so it seems like they’re setting up for future episodes. For the time being though, there’s another new female soldier being introduced for next episode, and she looks meaner than Octavia and has more elite troops backing her up, which probably means she won’t be joining Arawn’s ever-growing harem.

The chick in the next episode looks like a female Arawn. (scary)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Sigh…I was really hoping that they would make the viewers think Rathy was a boy like they did in the PC H-game version >.<
Oh well, as long as I still get to see

Then i will still be satisfied
I like Octavia’s red clothes as opposed to her blue ones in the game.
Octavia is awesome. Wish she joined Arawn already.
Nice one, but they totally changed how arawn and octavia meet in the game… the game was a lot more funny 😀
Yeah, besides the ridiculously huge hats, the anime uses the PS3 remake’s characters, which look better than in the PC version.
Octavia should become arthurs wife or something. I think Arawn has enough to deal with already 🙂
send in th Elite Mooks!

Harem all present and correct, most bishōjo stereotypes and fetishes covered. 😀
neko + big weapon = win
Octavie is just straight up hot
Octavia will join his Harem for sure – i find it more interesting that we get an Anime-only Character this time: that woman (which name will be shown next episode) with her red knights didnt appeared in the game (i mean the pc version of course ^^)
and that red branch…just say that its equal to the “red thread” or string of fate ==> money obesessed merchant-girl will use it – fun granted!
Making parallels, Octavia is clearly made like Agrias Oaks from Final Fantasy Tactics: Both are blonde, gorgeous, with a high level of honour and overwhelmingly powerful.
Having say that, I expect her to join the ranks ASAP, but with her Imperial background playing against that, Arawn must do something very mighty for that to happen.
Actually, the red eyed girl is a PS3 version character, not anime original.
I thought neko-hammer was a boy….but looking at the progressing harem, WTF was i thinking?
just saw the ep 08, Imperial Spec Forces just kicked collective @$$ of the Gael tribe…
BROOKLYN otaku: Actually, Arawn also makes that mistake (about Rathy’s gender) in the game, to hilarious hentai consequences, so don’t worry about it. 😀
And yes, Octavia certainly does join Arawn’s harem. They have a rape for a rape relationship, in fact. 0_o
