「全部熱のせい」 (Zenbu Netsu no Sei)
“It’s The Fever’s Fault”

I absolutely freaking love this show.

General Impressions

This week’s episode was a fantastic combination of humor and heartwarming moments that got me to tear up more than once in a span of less than ten minutes. Seeing how I’m still trying to recover, let’s start with the humor first.

Without a doubt, I think my favorite non-lovey-dovey couple is Minagawa and Furuya. They might have their moments when Minagawa drops that devilish act of hers, but as a whole I think that they shine as a comedic-duo. Be it Jun’s obliviousness or Hotaru’s plans completely backfiring, there’s something special with the how Minagawa is able to play the two so perfectly. While I wouldn’t go as far and say that she has the two wrapped about her fingers, I don’t think it’d be too unrealistic to think that in a different dimension, Minagawa could be this crazy evil girl who can manipulate both his crush and his overly protective sister in any way she wants. Luckily, we don’t live in a world like that and instead get to see Hotaru get super embarrassed about thinking about her beloved older brother having sex with a girl who she despises.

Moving on, boy do I have to give props to Gouda and Kamine for leveling up their relationship without running into too many issues. As one of the more normal couples in the show, I was afraid that their relationship would be the show trying to show just how hard they could wordplay and the misconceptions that happen when you’re thinking too damn hard. But lo and behold they are instead a model for what can happen when two sweet and innocent kids get together. This time around I was glad to see Gouda step up to the plate when push came to shove as I don’t think I could have handled seeing Kamine cry again (there’s just something really painful watching her cry).

Wrapping things up this week, I’m starting to really believe in the powers of this self-proclaimed “Love Master”. I’m not quite sure how he manages to appear at just the right time, but I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t only Takase’s heart that he managed to sway this week.

Overall, another great episode that left me once again crying inside that Sugawara and Takano haven’t been able to figure out each other’s feelings. Luckily, it looks like Takano is starting to warm up to the idea that she JUST MIGHT have a crush on Sugawara and I hope that our red-haired buddy can get lucky and sweep the crush of his dreams off her feet. Anyways, it looks like our Love Master is going to get even more screen time next week so let’s all prepare for either the best or cringiest episode yet. See you then!

  1. Props to Minagawa for immediately recognizing the new person behind the txt chat….
And then how she completley destroyed the jealous imouto.
I can imagine how the mom eventually picks up the phone, calls Minagawa nad she wraps things up too on that front. “I am terribly sorry, but I had to pull little prank on that jealous imouto for barging into our private chat and impersonating brother. No, we didn’t have any sexual acts done together, rest assured, he is the epitome of gentelmanly restraint. I congratulate you on raising such noble son.”

  2. Furuya and Minegawa , Ryouko and the Smooth Pres , and Kamine and Guda , Chiaki and Kana. They are the best developed couples in the manga so far, especially Kamine and Guda they get some real relationship development throughout, Chiaki and Kana will have a falling out for a bit but they become even better afterwards. Sadly Takano and Suguwara, are an endless back and forth her being dense and nonforthcoming and him being well not dense but nonforthcoming as well, Also there is another couple that is pretty developed and just hilarious and cute but i dont know if they will introduce them this season, which I swear better not be 13 eps let it be more and if so get a second season!!!

I wonder when they will introduce Patty and i forget his name they are in the OP but they become a fun couple too with one of the biggest quotable one liner ever xD

  3. Another great episode but I starting to get a bit annoyed at the flawed translation of some of the lines, happend in earlier episodes as well.

Minagawa & HanaKana’s voice acting is a match made in heaven, she does Minagawa’s trolling personality so well. Hotaru-chan is very innocent for a high schooler, one would expect that TV or managa would have corrupted her a bit more 😉

  4. I can’t help but think of both Navel Laser from HeroAca and Sandal-san from Sakura Quest when “Love Master” shows up (I call him Sandal-kun). He’s like a perfect mix of the two. I love him to bits.

  5. That blonde “love master” senpai resembles GSNK’s Maeno, the most vile of antagonists, a bit too much for me, frankly. Just can’t bring myself to enjoy the parts he’s in.
