“How to Defeat an Evil Leader”

Alright Sentouin, you got me. Between perfectly coincidental Electric Six references and Grimm quietly turning into my favourite girl of the show (sorry Rose, not enough adorable nomming this time around), this show just keeps on tapping the gas and building the right amount of speed. I have no damn idea where this runaround is leading, but I do know I’m loving the experience.

Much as Konosuba has shown for this genre time and again, events are always funniest when they are at their most ridiculous, and Sentouin didn’t waste much effort in confirming the fact. Case in point this week was Heine, the bane of Six’s and Alice’s new isekai existence. Or, you know, would be if the girl could quite literally hold onto her marbles. What’s the best way of beating the local boss whom even holy shotguns cannot easily overcome? Easy, just take her power and subject the poor girl to lewd photoshoots that she could’ve just run away from – since we all know it works better than hard countered weapons, right? Right. Natsume’s magnum opus may have Sentouin beat when it comes to off the wall comedic chaos, but at least for me stuff like this shows it’s not that far behind.

The real fun, however, will be in what comes next because we are now finally circling back to Six’s and Alice’s actual mission. While I wasn’t expecting Snow to be the one who confronted the two (frankly I thought this would come out in one of those weekly strategy meetings), it kind of makes some sense: Snow is to the left of Heine on the dumdum scale (*giggles in ice sword*), is just tsuntsun enough to screw with her immediate actions, and has a level of greed bound to make the inevitable payoff of her all the easier (you don’t tease that personality too much without planning on exploiting it later). Have to remember too, Rose is already Kisaragi pickup #1, she needs company at some point to help Six keep tabs on that appetite waiting for the chance to go all out. Or you know, simply get Grimm to curse Snow into compliance, but considering how often those things seemingly backfire, I’m going to stick with the payoff prediction.

Get the popcorn ready boys and girls, next week’s negotiations are going to get heated.

  1. Rose: “Commander, when this battle is over, I want to eat some yummy food!”
Grimm: “And I want some yummy alcohol!”
No. 6: (*currently immobile*) “Damn it all! I’ll buy you anything you want, just help me!”

LOL, hope this show gets an English dub. XD

This expression seems quite familiar… (Eh, close enough.)

Damn, gotta love Heine’s evil (and absolutely tempting) offer (3x higher payment, and a harem of succubi, lilim, vampires and sirens!)… But I love seeing No. 6 and Alice’s evil grins more once they got Heine’s magicite (and the resulting impromptu photoshoot afterward). Gochisousama. That was a nice “side dish”…or should I say, okazu, if you know what I mean. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

That being said, that old strategist making “ugly bastard” moves on Snow did make my skin crawl. Good thing she wasn’t fully on-board with the strategist’s plot…at least until she overhears No. 6 running his mouth about that spy mission and becoming a Kisaragi leader. (Ya be…)

P.S.: Tsundere Astaroth is just precious.
