「揺蕩-弐-」 (Yōtō -Ni-)
“Fluctuations, Part 2”
It’s somewhat hard to talk about this episode, only because the cliffhanger has dangled us by the throat. Nanami and co all turned up in flames with second or third-degree burns that worry for their wellbeing. I have a suspicion we haven’t seen the last of them yet, however, this episode was the big reveal when it comes to our favorite baddie. Sukuna.
Finally, after 15 episodes, the big evil guy has finally made a comeback. The first thing that comes to mind is what happens to the pact between him and Itadori, is Itarodi basically fighting for his life? And Sukuna manages to keep him asleep thanks to the power of newly ingested fingers? That might actually be the case, so that means Itadori is soon to make a comeback as well. In the nick of time no less. We will just have to wait and see.
Oh, and we must not forget about Toji making a comeback, not much I can say about him other than a walking corpse is freaky as hell. But the real meat and bones of his story come in probably next episode so watch out for that. I have made my way through the pages of the manga officially, I just couldn’t wait anymore.
The waiting for this show is insane, a weekly schedule and it feels like they’re giving us breadcrumbs. But with an animation so good, it is hard to look away
An Audience with Sukuna
Sukuna has always intrigued me because of how deep the lore goes with him, I’m interested to know and dive deeper into his backstory, like the philosophy of the deepest cave, the dark void, how far will you be willing to go into the intestines of the deeper parts of despair. How long till you find something horrible?
The lawless aspect of curses is very interesting because of the atrocities that are committed, some could even go as far as calling them war crimes, torture beyond comprehension. The jar of poison is never filled.
In this case, one wrong move from the girl in blonde, and turns out her friend’s head got chopped off, then as she tries to initiate her camera curse technique she herself is slashed through. Then the volcano guy plays a different approach and instead gets a one-on-one fight with Sukuna himself. With the promise that if he gets one hit, Sukuna will work under them.
That’s the biggest ego in curse territory.
The End
I unfortunately don’t have a lot more to say about this episode because otherwise, I risk getting into spoiler territory. So better a short post than none at all this week, even though I’m proverbially late to this show. Always have always will.
So that’s it for now thanks for reading.
