It’s the real opening theme/sequence after getting rolled by Tomoki in the premiere.

Human or not, there’s no use fighting this feeling! It’s all about that hesitant look.

Astraea arrives and makes quite the splash by face-planting herself into the ground. I knew she was pretty dumb as a Delta angeloid, but I didn’t expect her to be a complete klutz as well. No wonder Nymph and Ikaros completely cast her off as a cause for concern even after learning that she’s come to Earth to eliminate Tomoki. As such, most of this episode served as a lighthearted introduction to Astraea as well as an “appreciation” of everything that she has to offer in lieu of smarts. I gather not too many people will complain about that, though I do find her oversized breasts a bit ridiculous at times even by this series’ standards. Aside from that, I actually like her character a fair bit. I’m not normally one for the ditsy type, but the fact that Astraea’s more powerful than Ikaros in close-quarters combat yet can’t even kill a defenseless Tomoki puts an interesting spin on things. Instead of just taking another swing at him and ending things right there and then, she gets caught up in Tomoki’s spiritual cleansing to rid himself of his angeloid desires. Convenience notwithstanding, I’d almost say she has an endearing charm to her character, which goes well with her character design that I particularly like (minus the excessive depiction of her chest).

In terms of humor, this episode definitely had its moments, and even took the flying pantsu of season one’s second episode and put a porn magazine twist on it. Only in SoraOto will you find such over-the-top and ludicrous depictions of having too much power at one’s disposal and using it for all the wrong reasons. A porn magazine festival with penis-shaped ice pops and an even larger one on a mikoshi? They sure know no bounds with the perverted antics. The fan-service itself was right up there too, with a wise man once saying that it doesn’t matter if they’re some unidentified alien race as long as they have breasts. Now that’s some good otherworldly advice, brought upon by a near-death suffocation by huge breasts. Subsequently, watching Tomoki chase away Astraea by defiling her with his Six Paths of Hell was without a doubt, entering the realm of hentai; however, I actually found Astraea’s attempts to catch him off guard by seducing him as a model in a porn magazine even more risqué. It was entirely driven by her own stupidity and getting caught up in the flow of hesitantly stripping down, but boy was it nosebleed-worthy material.

Incidentally, it wasn’t all about perverted fun and games, as the acorn Eishirou brought back from one of the dreams last time has paved way to be a pivotal part of the story going forward. Namely, Tomoki appears to have some inherent ability to infiltrate the Synapse core and the sadistic angels up there aren’t too happy about it. I always liked how this series manages to mix a more serious plot amidst all the slapstick fun, so it’s good to see it picking up early on in that regard. In the meantime, I’m all for seeing more of Astraea getting victimized even though she’s the assassin.

Spiritual cleansing of sexual desires? Good luck Tomoki when you have a body like this next to you the entire time.

Tomoki’s crotch has a mind of its own, so it needs to be disciplined accordingly. Astraea blowing air into the oven didn’t come off as dirty as it was likely intended to be.

Nymph’s belief that Tomoki fantasizes about defiling her on the other hand…

He actually grabbed her chest! Nymph’s breasts may never grow, but it also means they’ll never sag.

A good example of Tomoki getting what he deserves for lying to Ikaros about being a victim of his magazines.

My goodness, a respectable use for an angeloid’s nearly limitless abilities!

Astraea may not be human, but if she looks this good, she can’t possibly taste that bad. Come on Tomoki. Man up!

I wonder where Sohara ranks in combat ability with that sonic cutter hand of hers. The comedic pause from Tomoki’s reaction was pretty priceless.

Hmm, now where have I seen this scene before?

Tomoki’s Six Paths of Hell. Horrible for Astraea, but not so horrible for all the viewers.

Ikaros is always considerate of her master, but sure has a weird way of showing it.

  2. great start to the series, im not exactly sure if they will animate up to the Hiyori arc but im really hoping so. though im assuming it will end a little earlier then that, but i believe i saw her in the opening.

  5. Astraea’s awesome! Now that she’s sporting the schoolgirl outfit, will she go to school with the others? They’ll just have to deal with the Master of the Sky douchebag whose pulling Astraea’s stupid, but loveable strings. Nymph’s, “Hey Alpha, wanna get some snacks?” after Eishirou’s concerns about Tomoki was classic.

    The Tomoki six paths got me in stitches, that was more epic than the Tomoki Tower! It seems he still has the first card Ikaros gave to him in season one, I mean, how in the six hells was he able to show all that to Astraea?! I wonder where he keeps it…maybe it’s better not to know.

    Sohara’s fighting power has to be above Nymph’s, but below Astraea and obviously Ikaros, since Sohara can cut bamboo trees 10 feet away without touching them. Also, there were some ominous scenes in the new opening. As for the ending, I was not disappointed; they had a porn mag parade!

    Hmmm, in the scene where Eishirou has the flashback the previous episode, there were 5 acorns that fell where the small tree now stands…foreshadowing perhaps?

    1. It wasn’t really his fault. More like he got caught in Astraea’s suffocating cleavage and popped out when she fell backward. It’s a great perverted way to illustrate their desire for him though! XD

    This show just proves that Earth > Heaven,because one man can literally bring down the Heavens erm…,Heavenly Beings likewise to Earth.Tomoki only needs a little push to subdue every girl,human or not into his harem-in-the-making.

Delta is really strong but doesnt do calculation. i guess thats her comedic character. the op was also good and the ending was better. i didnt think that using magazine to create a mosaic wood be possible. i also like the scene where tomoki was already enlightened and that as long as it has boobs even its a alien or not it is ok.

  19. OMG, D! You forgot to mention the reappearance of our dearest…The watermelon!
    The introduction to Astrea made me LOL especially when both Ikaros and Nymph just didn’t seem to care all that much. LMAO @ the ED. Seriously, I would have been shocked to see the kind of jokes and all from an anime a couple of years ago. I think the spiritual cleansing didn’t work too well for Tomoki since he has to realize, he’s the perv king of SnO’s world…But aside from the pervy fun and the story, I REALLY cannot get enough of Ikaros (in SD mode, she is even more adorable).

  22. Wow. I’m a girl, so I really need to say this: I think this is the stupidest and pointless series ever. xD

    Anway, there is something majorly wrong with the preview post image, with the blonde chick. Her left breast looks like it is separated into two pieces, and the bottom piece is wrapping around her arm. Wtf? No, actually, it looks like she has normal boobs, well, with her left boob being much much smaller than her right one, but there is this third small boob in between, and this extra middle boob is wrapping around her arm. ._. Reminds me of a piece of mochi. Except skin-colored.
