Finally! An episode that’s full of my three favorite things — Yabecchi, Papa Marui, and my favorite triplets in stupidly funny situations. The love-hate relationship that Hitoha, Futaba, and Mitsuba share always manages to pump out the laughs when it’s done right. When I think about fat jokes about Mitsuba, I think about things like getting stuck in windows or nearly eating yellow snow — stuff that’s funny but doesn’t push the wrong buttons about her physique. For Futaba, just seeing her act slightly different is enough for me. She had me when she gave Mitsuba the perfect dirty look — it’s something that I know that we all want to say to Mitsuba sometimes and that look was hands down the best personification of those feelings. Not to mention that her superhuman abilities always make me go, “did she really just jump out of a window?!” With Hitoha, I can’t help but think about how innocent she is. Putting aside the fact that I haven’t seen her pull out her magazine in ages, watching her become so scared about getting pranked on April fool’s day was just too cute. But then to watch her get super pranked after trying so hard to avoid it was just immensely too cute.

Something about Satou and Papa Marui bonding together caught my eye. I think it was probably because someone other than Futaba (and me) finally saw how good of a person Soujirou really is. After watching Soujirou go as far and accept Satou and nearly give him his blessings after vowing to destroy whoever was going after his daughters, I felt this burning passion in my heart watching the entire Japanese police force slowly descend upon him. Constantly being assaulted by the police force would piss me off beyond belief — I don’t know how Soujirou puts up with it! I’m still waiting for a situation where Soujirou can in no possible way be the culprit and rub it in everyone’s face.

After nearly a month without a major role Yabecchi finally makes his triumphant return! After an overdose of Gachi Red and watching him have the worst Christmas anyone could ever think of, I started to miss watching Yabecchi be the tail end of every joke. However, his well welcomed appearance was nearly overshadowed by the eccentric personalities of the parents of class 6-3. From Chiba’s mother knowing about his secret training to finally discovering where Yoshioka’s eyebrows come from, everything was trumped by Yabecchi’s sudden explosion of responsibility. Somehow getting the praise of every parent in class 6-3, he managed to save face and protect Ogata from revealing her dirty little stalking secret. Not too shabby of a day, eh Yabecchi?

  1. I thought it was adorable when the sisters kept saying to each other, “I love you.”. Like when Mitsuba said it to Futaba and Futaba said it to Hitoha. It warmed my heart. Now all I have to do is wait for Hitoha to say it to one of her sisters, but that may take awhile, lol. <333 😀

  2. I kinda wanted to see that occult-chick’s parents… See if they’re as loopy and into the supernatural as their child was. Oh well, didn’t happen, but Chiba’s mom was great too. And Sugisaki never fails to disappoint~ Well both Shin’s mom and Papa Marui both gave their blessing to the two so which’d make you think… Takaii, know if there’s any future Rieka Yazawa (Our other Futaba) roles soon? :O

    1. Yes it does.. I’ve seen many of those but not really a simple pin, but a bug (like cockroach) would snap to the thumb startling victims. It’s not really effective though.. just sad.

      1. I’ve seen that one too.. but it doesn’t look like a gum when you touch it for the first time so you really won’t pull it if you’re alert. The pen-shock was a better choice, click the pen and you’ll get shocked! 🙂
