Well I think that’s it for me for this series. I actually thought this was the most amusing/interesting of all three episodes so far, but overall it’s just not enough for me to justify picking up a third Saturday show. I really do think that this has the potential to be a good series, but I don’t have the time nor the motivation to stick around for it to get better. Maybe I’ll watch it/blog it again if someone tells me later on that a particular episode was really good or something. For now though, I’m done with Tsuyokiss.

  1. Wasn’t this supose to be about how Konoe Sunao gets into being a actress in plays or some such.. all i see here is jumbled stuff thrown about..

I find Zero no Tsukaima way more easy on the eyes to watch =)

  2. that’s too bad 🙁 it looks like a good series too. Its a shame that i can’t come back here to see the screenshots before the sub comes out anymore for this anime. o well it is ur opinion after all and i understand the time management problems since blogging two shows a day is a lot already.

  3. I thought it’s been a lot of fun so far, it’s actually exceeded my expectations. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
Plus it’s got yuri in it between the Student Council Prezzy and Captain Tessa Testarossa Yoppi. I’d watch a flip-book with stick figures if it has yuri. 🙂

  4. That’s a classic case of a “love it or hate it” show 😉 … just as the comments to this anime proves.

It was an interesting episode because it took material from the original game and adjusted it for anime purposes. Compared to the original, the anime is much more crazy (and thus, less serious), fanservice is dramatically ramped up, and the characters are quite a bit distorted (Hime much more evil and aggressive, Leo much more worthless, etc). To be honest, I’d have preferred a more game-centered atmosphere, but ah well. It’s still crazy hilarious fun for me 🙂 … just turn off your brain and enjoy it, Bond-movie mode. Just makes me wonder how they’re gonna handle the transition to the (much more serious) romance parts…

I hope that Omni won’t mind this hint, but ayyo on http://www.makenaidesuwayo.com will certainly continue his blogging. Therefore, people who want raw entries with screencaps right away don’t need to despair.

  5. Actually, I think the series is pretty good as well. But what really sells it for me is just how different it is from other series that I’ve seen. It’s a real pity that it’s being overshadowed by other animes right now. Otherwise, I find the art style and story quite unique (execution-wise). I think it’s one of those animes that “grows” on me the more I watch it.

Oh well, dang all those recent animes with their kewl cgs (easy on the eyes) and cliched stories (easy on the mind). But I’m definitely sticking with Tsuyokiss (personally i wouldn’t mind dropping a Harry Potter feel-alike or a neon-green mecha series in the mean time 😛 :P) for at least a few more episodes.

  6. I don’t know about this series, it’s based on an h-game yet the protagonist is one of the girls the REAL protagonist (Leo) can get involved in romantically… I just find it to be odd and different, not really towards my liking though…

Again, I’d like to emphasize that I’m not dropping this because it wasn’t good. I’m dropping this because it wasn’t good enough compared to ONLY the other Saturday shows, which would be Blood+ and Tsubasa Chronicle. Comparing this to Zero no Tsukaima and ZEGAPAIN (which I think are far superior anyway) isn’t valid for me because they don’t air on the same day so there’s no conflict in blogging.
The major problem is that with the end of last season, I had only two series end. That meant I basically had two open slots for new anime, unless I dropped some stuff or shuffled the schedule around (which I did do a little). And in this case, there just simply isn’t time or motivation to blog this show unless it really blew me away.

  8. I only watched two episodes before I dropped it… Judging by the ammount of girls, how boring the series was, 2-d the characters were, and the nudity, I knew it was based on a H-game. I don’t really care what it’s based on, I loved School Days after all, but most anime like this just isn’t good. Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru was pretty boring too (though I did finish it).
