The narrative’s been shot to hell by this point, but at least DeSu2A serves up one hell of a spectacle for its climax.

As enjoyable as it was to watch the demons and magic galore in this final Septentrione battle, the narrative here seemed to have taken one hell of a nosedive.

I don’t know if I should be happy or disappointed when my expectations are defied in such a manner.

I did say we most likely weren’t going to be seeing much more rainbows and sunshine, but this episode just went way beyond what I anticipated.

For a supposed “fanservice” episode of DeSu2A, this turned out better than expected.

It seems like the surprises with this season’s crop just keep rolling out, and here’s another one to add to the list. Because holy crap, even having played the game, I never expected s*** to get this real in DeSu2A.

So basically, Tokyo Magnitude meets Evangelion in Persona‘s wrappings. Yea, I think I’m gonna like this.

Demons, mysterious societies and a world on the brink of the apocalypse? Whatever Devil Survivor 2 The Animation’s setting up here, it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
