Utada Hikaru’s newest song Flavor of Life comes in several flavors, and the one featured in Hana Yori Dango 2 and this PV is the ballad version. Unlike her some of her other PVs which have been flashy and high production value, this feels more down to earth in showing the recording of the song with an orchestra. Of course that makes it less exciting to watch, but I don’t really mind because I love her voice and this song.
As Shigeru gets on stage, the other members of the F4 explain that she is the daughter of the Ookawahara zaibatsu – the worldwide leader in oil production.
Tsukushi finds herself in New York asking for directions in English, but things don’t quite work out and she gets her bag stolen.
There’s not much going on today (Happy New Years!) so I’d thought I’d write up a quick reminder that Hana Yori Dango 2 is premiering this Friday, January 5th, at 9PM JST with a two hour special. TBS is doing tons of promotional stuff in preparation for this second series, meaning that Matsumoto Jun, Inoue Mao, and the others have been appearing everywhere on TV. Many of the commercials and promos show that Tsukushi and Rui are going to New York where Tsukasa is, and they even did a live broadcast to TBS’s Ping Pong program while they were filming there earlier last month. Anyway, Hana Yori Dango 2 is set to be 15 episodes long and the theme song (heard in all of the commercials) is Arashi’s Love So Sweet. I am tentatively planning to blog it, but that all depends on how my own schedule works out.

Not only has Tsukushi’s father been laid off, the family is also 5 million yen in debt.
Filled with anger at his friend’s betrayal, Tsukasa kicks Rui out of the F4.
Rui surprises everyone with his return, and Tsukasa immediately moves to claim Tsukushi as his.
After being walked out on by Tsukasa during school because of the photos, Tsukushi makes another plea for him to believe her.
