Kiznaiver – 01
(Hitome Atsuta Sonohi Kara Ichi Kizuna no Hana Saku Koto mo Aru)
“Sometimes, a Bond Can Bloom from the First Day Eye Contact is Made”
Strongest potential I’ve yet seen for a seriously powerful show.
(Hitome Atsuta Sonohi Kara Ichi Kizuna no Hana Saku Koto mo Aru)
“Sometimes, a Bond Can Bloom from the First Day Eye Contact is Made”
Strongest potential I’ve yet seen for a seriously powerful show.
(Hatsu Kōkai de Pinchi! )
“In a Pinch on Our Maiden Voyage!”
My best guess for Hai-Furi is Girls und Panzer, on the high seas, and even more dangerous.
(Oni no Furu Sora)
“A Demon Falls from the Sky”
Kuromukuro‘s debut episode makes a convincing case for its worth thanks to spectacular visuals and a slow, digestible pace.
(Rokunenfuri no Fushigi)
“Mystery After Six Years”
TL;DR If you’re looking for a fun and funny slice-of-life that feels a little like Kiki’s Delivery Service mashed together with a little bit of Nichijou, there’s no going wrong with Flying Witch!
Kiss”
And now it’s time for something that’s likely to go horribly underwatched, even though it was one of the better premieres of an already impressive spring season. If you like good old fashion shojo romance, then 12-sai is the anime for you.
(Hatarakazaru Mono Kuubekarazu)
“Those Who Do Not Work Shall Not Eat”
Shounen Maid is a series that will surprise a lot of people – if they give it the chance.
(1-Nen 2-kumi Sakamoto-kun/Bī Kuwaietto)
“Class 1-2’s Sakamoto-kun”
I think it’s fair to say Sakamoto desu ga? is not going for photorealism or complex character drama. It’s just trying to be hilarious, and it accomplishes it much of the time.
(Jūichigatsu no Chōjin-tachi)
“November’s Superhumans”
It’s great that Concrete Revolutio is back, because few anime are as chaotic, intense, and deliciously retro.
(Obieru Shikabane)
“Frightened Corpses
It’s been so long since an action anime had me hooked from the first minute to the last. Not only is the art gorgeous, but the steampunk world is compelling, the violence is visceral and gripping, and as a premiere it did a better job than its spiritual predecessor.
(Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?)
“And You Thought There is Never a Girl Online?”
The source for this was really funny, so all that remains is to adapt it well. So far? They’re doing very well indeed. This was really funny!
