After Noboru tries to teach Kuugen how to call his cellphone yet again, Kou accepts a package that’s marked for Tooru. Inside, they find a small white-haired girl wrapped in bandages, who’s asleep and doesn’t appear to be a vengeful spirit or a human.

After running into Mubyou and listening to her explanation, Tooru agrees to help her search for the Sakasaen since she doesn’t seem like a bad person. Although he agreed, Tooru doesn’t quite know how he can help her, so Mubyou suggests asking the smart kitsune who’s at his house to help out and then introduces herself as the god from the next area.

After having a dream about yet another demon that wants to eat him, Tooru wakes up and finds out that Kou protected him. Meanwhile, Ebisu notices a kitsune walking by his convenience store, who lost his home in the mountains due to humans clearcutting the area.

With Tooru sleeping on her tail, Kuugen notices a mark on the back of his neck. When Tooru wakes up, Kuugen asks if he would want her power — the power to obtain anything — but Tooru says he doesn’t really care for it, which reminds Kuugen of how Miyako once responded the same way.
