Watch the PV! Mirror 1, Mirror 2

With the special screening of Stage 24 & 25 only days away and the television broadcast a week and a half away, the official CODE GEASS website in partnership with BIGLOBE has released a two and a half minute promotional video for Stage 24 & 25 that can be found here. For those of you who get crappy speeds on BIGLOBE’s streaming, I’ve uploaded an avi version in the links above.

This promotional video seems to expand on a lot of the things from the recent commercial, but it also has its own share of interesting shots.

  • Looks like the Black Knights are going to employ the Raikou weapon that the Japanese Liberation Front had previous been using.
  • The promo seems to imply that the button Sayoko presses blows up a plane of some sort, possibly a transport.
  • With Zero standing behind her, Kallen takes off her visor in front of someone, likely her friends at school.
  • Viletta appears to be either escaping from the Black Knights, or escaping from the mob that was originally after her when we last saw her.
  • The Pudding Earl doesn’t look too happy after getting smacked by Suzaku.
  • From all the quick battle shots, it seems that Toudou’s Gekka is going to be plowing through a wave of Gloucesters, and the Lancelot/Suzaku will get to fight the Guren Nishiki/Kallen again. A later shot in promo shows the Gawain firing on the Lancelot, but it dodges. The Gawain will also go up against a new orange-colored mecha.
  • This must be one of the Glaston Knights, but is there a point to him putting on his visor other than looking cool?
  • What exactly does CODE-R mean? Is it another name for her or is it the type of person C.C. is or what? Does it have anything to do with her real name?
  • Since Cornelia looks fairly young in this shot, I think it’s safe to assume it’s a flashback.
  • The cloud and color scheme of the background in the unconscious Nunnally shot make me think that she might be with the Emperor of Britannia in that place. Or it could just be evening time.
  • 10 more days until July 28th….

On a related side-note, the latest issue of TVstation magazine in Japan is stating that GEASS 2nd Series will be airing in October. I’m not sure I trust this news 100% since it’s mentioned more as an assumption than an announcement, so take it with a grain of salt.

    4. I think the orange mecha would be orange kun in it. I have not seen the PV yet but in ep 23 when orange kun pops out, there is what appears to be an orange mecha behind the general while he is all in a rush to pack up orange kun.

Isn’t that Lelouch’s mother? if so, then it must be a flashback. Maybe she’s saying something like “take care of lelouch if something should happen to me.” *shrug*

    6. Never experienced so much rumor and commercial about an anime like now with Code Geass.
That show seems to be VERY popular in Japan, and I mean VERY.

Curious if after episode 24/25 some people I know will still claim they copied from Gundam Seed. Anyways, I’m curious and hope for a good final, which provides me some good answers and leaves enough open for the second season, whenever those may air lol.

    7. Long live Lelouch!!!
I can’t wait to see this – subbed!!

As for Code-R, I have no idea what R stands for but I think it’s refering to C.C.’s powers. C.C. doesn’t have GEASS but she is immortal and can give GEASS power to other people.

Finally there’s a reference to the word “CODE” now.

    9. I’ve seen that orange mecha next to orange-kun in alot of magazine scans so its definately his XD

also i wonder if his green eyes have some kind of experimental geass power or just some cool terminator vibe going on

    10. I don’t want to spoil myself, so I didn’t read the post.
Come on. how much can you talk about two episodes before they even air? I like seeing anime without knowing what’s gonna happen. MUCH, much more fun.
P.S: I’m not trying to offend you or something, it’s just my point of view about spoilers :).

    11. Wow! Finally, after such a long wait! But, isn’t the dress Marianne is wearing in the flashback the same dress she wore when she died? Maybe Cornelia knows something about her death after all.

      10 days…..just 10 days….

    12. I can’t believe this! I’ll be missing the release of the last two eppisodes… so NOT FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIR…. Anyway I was lookig at Marian’s clothes and something seemd to attract my attnetion. I think they’re colour, or patern… on’t know. I first thought of her being Britannian and then her situation and finally the large number of children the Emperor has. So I was thinking who the @@@@ of a ruller had so many wives and children: Henry VIII! I have this straight ideea that the death of Marianne was an execution, resembling much Anne Boleyn’s situation. The Emperor as well as Henry VIII didn’t take part at that execution. AB’s child durvived, so did M’s

      I’m starting to wonder if Lelou’s just a puppet in someone’s hands…

    13. the season 2 notification wasnt real, it was first said that season 2 would take Darker Than Black’s timeslot but Gundam 00 takes that spot, also they officialy stated that it wasnt real and that no news on a air time of season 2 has been made yet

    14. mutio: I got that vibe, although for me, the difference was that Seed screwed itself into a corner so it had to rush on the way out… the last two episodes of Geass felt rushed for no good reason. LOTS of stuff happening, jumping from one scene to the next, and I’m over here going, ‘Holy crap, let my pulse catch up from the last cliffhanger!’ Not saying it was bad, I enjoyed it. But they could’ve done some things differently…
