「札束の散らばる炭鉱, カムチャッカ半島夜間奇襲電撃戦 III」 (Satsutaba no Chirabaru Tankou, Kamuchakka Hantou Yakan Kishuu Dengekisen III)
“The Coal Mine Littered With Stacks of Money, The Kamchatka Peninsula Nighttime Blitz III”
There is no justice in war — only what lies in front of you and how you act upon it.
Philosophical Thinking
After such an intense arc that touched on a lot of the things all of us would much rather not think about when faced with war, I just wanted to spend a few paragraphs talking about what this whole arc made me think and a little about how it made me felt.
Starting with the former, I couldn’t believe just how much this episode opened my mind to some of the inconvenient truths associated with war. Sure, I may have understood the idea in the back of my mind, but there’s something really uncomfortable knowing that something a solider is fighting for might be completely unjust and downright wrong. Given orders from at times faceless figures, it’s their job to execute their tasks and make sure that anything in their way is eliminated. Because, in a situation like war, how else can you think when the enemy you’re facing is thinking the exact same way as you? Besides the fact that you could die if you failed to do your job, the notion of losing a comrade or jeopardizing the entire mission is some pretty intense weight that I wouldn’t want on my shoulders.
But then, knowing all this, what do you do when you realize that the battle you’re fighting may be for all the wrong reasons? Of course, things in the real world aren’t as black and white as they are in an anime, but to obliterate an entire faction of people for no reason but to silence them sounds atrocious. Especially when said faction are actually paying respect to you and your entire nation! All together, this culminates into an episode of an anime that had me questioning not only my own morals, but making me wonder what is the correct course of action in the face of a situation like this. And while I wouldn’t even dare to write what someone should do since I’m safely here behind my keyboard, I want to believe that I’d be able to be like Qwenthur and act as honorable as possible.
In any case, I was really happy we got a happy ending. Through the power of communication and some trust between fellow human beings, I was overjoyed to learn that the antiwar faction managed to safely escape before the mines collapsed.
Looking Ahead
With one hell of an arc behind us, it looks like things are getting pretty serious with a civil war breaking out within the Legitimate Kingdom. While it remains to be seen just how far this web of traitors and liars spans, it looks like Qwenthur and Havia will be there right at the front of it all. Anyways, thanks for making it through this rather philosophical post and I can’t wait to catch you guys next week where we’ll hopefully get some reprise from such heavy thoughts. Hopefully with a lot of Melinda to make up for her lack of scenes outside of Baby Magnum. That or Myonri, because I can sense an immense amount of kawaii emanating from her.
See you later! \o

The anime’s covered up to Chp 2 of Vol 3. Likely the anime will adapt up to Chp 3,Vol 3 to end this cour.
is a great episode..
especially the death of nutslay…
it is extravaganza, die by diamond bullet..
Kamachi Kazuma’s afterwords for say this was the first time he put a spy in the story.
“With all the fighting left to Objects and infantry not doing as much, I think spies like this would become more common. I added in the idea of an overall conspiracy here, but if it that was all there was, the overall theme of “fighting Objects” would have been lost. For that reason, I left it at just a taste.”

Glad the movements of the Wing Balancer was done better this episode. Definitely how I imagined it would be moving. And the way it was taken down was great and hard to pull off since you have to be in the battlefield to do it and have extreme amount of
plot armorluck to notice its weakness and actually do something about it.https://randomc.net/image/Heavy%20Object/Heavy%20Object%20-%2019%20-%20Large%2032.jpg
Uiharu a qt. Haivia’s taken already though so tough luck.

I want to zoom Charlotte Zoom’s Zooms. Qwenthur got a boob plant with bonus armpits, and he’s walking away with a fortune of diamonds. Though logic dictates that with his luck in the battlefield, those diamonds will be used for something so he won’t be able to keep it at all.
Yup, this is Kamachi so that foreshadowing with the diamonds xD and also Uiharu go back to AC, Saten is flipping everyone’s skirt!!!
Saten is restless. She wanna flip skirts again.
I cant believe J.C Staff is taunting us with a Uiharu looking character.
Index III when
Raingun III when?
That I_don’t_remember_her_name chick is waiting for her chance to reappear!!!
I wonder how the meeting up would go if the 2 step-siblings ever catch each other…

I demand more Charlotte to add to the Frolaytia.
Can I have both Charlotte and Frolaytia?
Both of them can stomp on me anytime
Qwenthur knows how to add girls to his harem much better than someone from an anime that features tons of girls with an idiot lead male.
Maybe this show would have been better with normal gundam-like mechas? Those big balls always look so stupid to me. 🙁
It definitely would have fit the “changed the face of warfare” thing they tried to push with the Objects as, in Gundam anyway, mobile suits DID completely change the face of warfare.
Previously, battles were fought much like WWI and early WWII; two big battleships slugging it out until one of them lands a good enough hit to cripple/destroy the other, or one of them retreats. Then, fighter aircraft (mobile suits) come more into their own and start easily destroying battleships with a relatively small number of them and suddenly large, armored battleships are no longer the most important vessels, but the aircraft (mobile suit) carrier becomes the focus and all new tactics are made while others are completely changed around.
