「抜き打ちテストの新任教師」 (Nukiuchi Tesuto no Shinnin Kyoushi)
“The Pop-Quizzing New Teacher”

It only took five episodes to finally learn how Taito survived after losing his last life. You know, it has to be pretty annoying worrying about not losing too many lives too quickly. Seeing how Taito’s only attack is a raging inferno that engulfs him after using it, it’s kind of like bringing a six chamber revolver with golden bullets to an automatic rifle fight. You may have the strongest weapon on the playing field, but you only get a small amount of shots. Oh, and you die if you use your last bullet before reloading.

But after finally swallowing his pride and bluntly asking Gekkou for help, I’m a little disappointed that Taito is such a masochist. He was essentially given the key to unlocking any type of power he wanted, and he didn’t care about the price paid for it as long as he could protect Himea. But instead of actually requesting power, he requests the knowledge of how to obtain power! As noble as it sounds, I couldn’t help but laugh a little when Edelka decided to become an epic troll and fill Taito’s mind with a bunch of bullcrap amongst all the real bits and pieces. Plus, he still lost something in return for gaining knowledge of something that he still needs to find before it can help him!

Watching Taito and Himea go on a random scavenger hunt really broke the flow of the episode for me. Eventually finding a familiar of his own who has an attitude that’s compelled more by feelings than his brain, I am curious about how this transfer of powers works. Since, if transferring powers was the problem, wouldn’t Himea be more than willing to transfer her powers to Taito? Oh yeah, apparently she lost most of it to bring him back to life.

With Haruka still making lunches for Taito and Taito still not responding to her advances, it seems that things are just going in a big loop. I was going to say that Yuuichi might be the new stand in villain, but I don’t feel anything evil from the guy. Especially after he overpowered Gekkou with a single finger and didn’t physically hurt him, I’m inclined to believe he’s nothing to worry about — at least for now.

  1. I’m really confused with this show. The world of Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi really confuses me with all the super powered villians and the crossing of dimensions and the fact that the highschool itself is some miltary zone when there is students inside really dosen’t help as well as the dumb taito. Its like Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi tries to portray to many things at once with no support.

    1. “No support,” huh? Straight and to the point, I say. I like it.

But this is the price you pay when you don’t have enough proper buildup in the earlier episodes. As I said before, trying to delve into the deeper parts of Itsu-Ten’s plot now will only serve to confuse its viewers. Not that we’ve really gotten into the plot, but my point still stands.

This is what happens when you give a plot heavy story to an incompetent producer.

      1. I agree with some of your points, the story wasn´t organized properly, so people unfamiliar with the light novels get a little confused. Zexcs commited the same mistakes with Densetsu no Yūsha no Densetsu, I see they don´t learn as fast as I liked. Even so the adaptation is not that bad; God knows I´ve seen a lot worse (the ending of shakugan no Shana Second).

With an OVA scheduled for the incoming futre I stil have a tiny hope for another season better than this one. They´re almost in volume 4 and that´s where everything really starts with the deep plot, to bad it´s only 12 episodes long.

  2. @Shinn_kamiyra who is the You? who are you targeting your post at? the produces of the show or my point of no support?

Your post makes totally no sense, I recommend yourself reading your post before you post thanks.

    1. Lilion, you can hit reply below Shinn_Kamiyra’s name to reply to him.

It should be obvious that the ‘you’ he is referring to is not anyone specific and probably refers to one. The one who gave this “plot heavy story to an incompetent producer.”

He is replying to you since he did in fact hit reply and even quoted you.

What Shinn_Kamiyra seems to say in his second paragraph is that you are confused because there was no proper build up to the main plot.

I suggest you reread his post before you reply to him, thanks.

      1. Nellie, he is replying to me; I know that. However he worded his sentence so strangely as if I am the producer.

He said for example: “this is the price you pay when you don’t have enough” could be changed into “this is the price the producer pay when the producer don’t have enough” you get what I mean.

The Post Shinn_kamiyra created looks like he just copy and pasted and not directed to me. This can be proven when Shinn_kamiyra said “As I said before”.

So if you can actually read my post I am asking him kindly to reread his message before he post so there wouldn’t be any misunderstandings in the future.

Your message “seems to say” sounds as if you also don’t understand his post. So again the post I created for Shinn_kamiyra is to ask him to clear up any misunderstandings

    2. Glad to clarify any misunderstandings.

As Nellie said, the “you” I mentioned in my post wasn’t meant for anyone particular. It’s relevant to anyone or anything that would have an anime, in this case Itsu-Ten, trying to delve into its plot-rich story without the proper buildup beforehand. It only serves to confuse its viewers; which it has and it is.

With respect to what I meant when I mentioned an “incompetent producer,” naturally I was referring to Zexcs, Itsu-Ten’s anime producer. Given the rather poor job they did at developing “The Legend of the Legendary Heroes,” also a work by Itsu-Ten’s author, it should’ve been clear that it’s not the kind of producer that can handle such an anime the way many fans believe it should be, as reflected in its exceedingly poor sales.

Now, if you have any other questions, I’m happy to answer. Next time however, let’s refrain from rather rude comments such as “your post makes totally no sense,” alright? No one likes to read such things.

    1. I doubt it´s his feelings for Himea, because this story would have no sense at all. I think it has to with Haruka herself more than Himea. Who knows, but I can see some pontetial drama in the future episodes regarding the lost object.
