「初めてのお留守番」 (Hajimete no Orusuban)
“First Time Staying Behind”
Misaki was sooo cute this week with Usui getting under her skin to the extreme by playing make-believe stalker. Except in his case, aside from actually sneaking up behind her grabbing her, he more or less is a stalker already. In any case, I found Usui’s nonchalant comment about how it was supposed to be make-believe absolutely hilarious with the timely comedic pause in that scene. It was also pretty funny hearing Misaki tell him that if it was anyone else but her he’d have a lawsuit on his hands. Those were probably the highlights of this week, but Usui giving Misaki the tongue for no particular reason was right up there as well. It was actually a bit surprisingly how light the mood was for the most part, given the somewhat gloomy foreshadowing at the beginning with Satsuki suggesting that they take some precautionary measures for the recent string of attacks by perverts. Unsurprisingly, that ended up being an attack from two of their regular customers, who turn out to be masochists intent on getting a scolding from Misa-chan’s true sadistic self.
While I did enjoy seeing Misaki vulnerable for a change with her hands cuffed and her mouth taped up, there’s clearly no way to contain the beast within her. She may be a practitioner of aikido, but snapping handcuffs in a fit of rage is still pretty ridiculous. In short, don’t mess with the prez. Despite how predictably all of that played out, the silver lining to this episode was Usui’s continued attempts to break that tough tsundere exterior of Misaki’s. After he told her she’s still a girl no matter how tough she may be and busted into the cafe to save her if she hadn’t beat up the perverts herself, I could just sense how close he was on both occasions. I can’t help but wonder what Misaki’s reaction would’ve been if she realized how serious Usui got as soon as he realized she was in danger. Needless to say, he was definitely a man out on a mission to protect the girl he loves (…to tease). Anyway, I have to say I’m pretty jealous of Usui, because Misaki’s a cutie pie who is absolutely adorable when she feels embarrassed.
Next week looks like the teasing will continue as we have bunny ears (win) and Usui making use of his cafe point card to get Misaki to do what he wants. I just love seeing that reluctance in her face, so I can’t wait.

I loved this episode! Next I’m sure will be terrific too!! ^_^
i’m loving this one as well. could anyone suggest any similiar anime to this one?
try special A(SA)
it has a guy who can get under the main character’s skin while the girl is oblivious to his feelings.
Watching this show and SA reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club. VERY highly recommended.
Lets hope ETU can pull off a similar Gera-like goal that sent Fulham into the Europa League final on Tokyo victory !
@adobochan
I guess _that_ thing will be in the 7th EP, not the next
ops , wrong comment for wrong anime…..my fault
The tongue-pulling was just hilarious. *walk in* *stare* *stick tongue out* *leave*
“because Misaki’s a cutie pie who”
whenever I use “cutie pie” people tell me I sound like an old perverted freak ‘^’
I am super loving the anime version!

caramell dansen!!! XD
Pears > Apples 😀
I like how he smashed the window AFTER he saw her break the handcuffs =P
Yeah, that make it kinda pointless lol:s
15:25-15:30 – I liked how the poster girl in Maid Latte could move her eyes like those portraits in Harry Potter. lol
Adding Aoi-chan to the chapter (he didn’t appear in the manga for this story) was a good touch, it’s always a lot of fun to see Misaki getting all flustered like that.

Best Part of the Show https://randomc.net/image/Kaichou%20wa%20Maid-sama!/Kaichou%20wa%20Maid-sama!%20-%2005%20-%20Large%2029.jpg
I literally LMAO when Usui made that comment about “spanking being a turn-on”
It seems that the animation is getting a bit better with each episode, you don’t see that much distorted faces anymore (but the uniforms are still ugly :S)
I’ve read the manga, so I’m REALLY excited for the next episode because :

I gotta watch this. 😀
Btw the new/recent image-clicking-becomes-new-window thing is so cool! Much appreciated. 😀
“Usui giving Misaki the tongue”
i read that in a COMPLETELY different way and thought i missed something really important. XD
Seriously, why did Misaki let her stalkers get as far as they did? The tazer was clearly no threat to her, so why would she even allow herself to get handcuffed, gagged and led up to the second floor, and not just deck the guys where they approached her? Was she just not angry enough at the time? Thinking of Misaki yelling “Hulk Smash!” is rather amusing, come to think of it.
I suppose it was supposed to be a way to get her to a place where Usui could see and hear her, but they could have easily worked around that, I think. Maybe they just wanted to get a shot in of Misaki bound and gagged (this is Japan after all). But it seems a silly reason for an arguably out of character action – for her to allow that to happen, even for a moment, seems so unlike her, given all she does to the boys in her class, and the two stalkers afterward.
Depending on the quality of the handcuffs, it is totally possible to break them, especially if they were from some novelty store. Misaki allowing herself to be handcuffed and taken upstairs is somewhat more logical, putting them into a false sense of security that they are controlling the situation – so when she breaks the cuffs the whole momentum is on her side.
They did pretty good setting up a situation that felt like she would need saving, having her go back to school to finish up an exceeding amount of reports, then have to work late. Though, the fact she saves herself doesn’t really prove anything on his case that she need to protect herself better.
Also, that box was surprisingly full of things after everyone had seemingly “Picked what they needed” from it.
I love Misa’s reaction at the end. SO CUTE.
lmao “loves( …to tease)” riiight haha! Love this show it really is cute cant wait for the subs on the next one 🙂
