A confrontation is about to happen pretty soon. You know how I know? Because Oda’s introducing the various powers of the enemy’s team. I have to say, these guys were more interesting than I initially took them for. I knew they didn’t have any devil fruit powers, but in replacement they have their unique respective fish powers. From initial impressions, some of them aren’t that interesting, like Dosun, who didn’t show anything special relative to his fishmates (heh, fishmates). It’s not necessarily that it makes the characters themselves more interesting, but more that it should make the fights with the Strawhats more entertaining. Drunken sword fighting against Zoro? Camoflauge fighting against.. well, that should make a fight with any of the Strawhats hilarious. Ikaros is definitely fighting Sanji. Diable Jambe that squid. Franky has his fresh fire attack too though, so who knows. The steroid pill seems to provide a kind of “evolution” or 2nd stage for the fishmen too, so that should provide some variety as well. Unless you know, the Strawhats completely obliterate them no problem, which is always a possibility.
As for Hordy, well. I guess this is his “last minute powerup” that will make him a more formidable foe. It’s intriguing that the pills are revealed to actually take away life, which just signals furthermore how “weak” they are, and that this whole debacle won’t potentially go anywhere big. Terribly hungering for the conflict already though.

I got back into One Piece in a big way right before the hiatus. It felt to me like Oda had finally committed himself to making the story a big more dramatic and meaningful. Now he’s flushing away all my goodwill with this arc. I don’t care about all of these minor fishmen characters, why are there so many damn characters?!?
Oh no… Guardian Enzo’s not going to pick up One Piece coverage? RandomC will never be the same 🙁

didn’t take me 2 minutes to read all of this. I just didn’t bother with this chapter. They just had to make a chapter about the enemy’s minions, who are bound to be defeated by the straw hats & the princes
It took me a while as I was busy bleeding from each page with those good for nothing goons draining the chapter… ah, just put them on line against Zori and get this over with. The worst is that Oda may level them up so they can put a fight (please, no).

After a little thought, I realized it’s more likely that Oda dies before the rest of us… which is really sad :/
