「パン友ができました」 (Pantomo ga Dekimashita)
“I Made Bread-Friends”

If you were expecting a show about girls talking about bread and why bread is the best thing ever, you’ve picked the correct show.

With the show clocking in at a whopping three minutes and fifteen seconds, it’s tough to say whether or not there was really much to talk about. I mean, I could go on and on about how friendships based on the love of bread could transcend time and even logic, but I think this show comes down to something as simple as this – if you like slice-of-life and you like bread, this will be a great use of three and a half minutes of your life.

Throughout those three minutes though, I was surprised just how well some of the humor resonated with me. Because when you only have time to tell a few jokes, you better damn well pick something that your intended viewer base will find funny, right? In Pan de Peace’s case, I loved how well Minami and Fuyumi played off of each other when they were poking fun at Yuu. It was just so smooth and fluid that you couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

Overall, I don’t think you could go wrong watching this show. It’s short enough to power through and has just enough substance to make it feel engaging – give it a shot!

P.S. Random side note, but was it jarring for anyone when there were moments where a character’s eyes were hiding under the shadow of their hair? Maybe it’s just me…

    1. You are probably remembering that correctly as Pan de Peace! is the first non-h work of Emily (this series’ mangaka/author). Numerous of their works have been adapted by (hentai) animation studio Queen Bee.

  1. I love bread. I guess I must watch this then. The last time I watched something about bread, it was Shining Hearts, and it was a disappointing one. But still, the bread looks so good, I need to have some while watching.
