The PV for Eden of the East’s ED aired earlier this week on M-ON!, and I had completely forgotten about it until I was reminded by the commercial that aired during this week’s episode (which I’ll get around to blogging later today). I had really liked the TV-size version, helped out by the fact that it’s got a very nice papermation sequence accompanying it, so I had been looking forward to seeing what the PV was like. It turned out to be not nearly as fun as that since it just had the band standing around playing the song, though I have to admit that this was new to me in the sense that I’m not very familiar with school food punishment as a group. I at least enjoyed hearing the full version of the song – the beginning (the first verse) and the end are the best parts, and I didn’t like the middle of the song quite as much because of the long instrumental section. Regardless, the PV is worth a watch if for no other reason than to hear the full song.
The single for futuristic imagination is due out May 27th, 2009.
While she’s wailing away on the guitar, I can only hear the bass. So….where’s the bass player?
this show is hands down the best show to come out this year. the OP and ED are really good, and the story is great. well at least the unpredictability of it all 🙂
was the OP PV released yet?
It sounds good; I like it. Thanks for posting the PV.
I can only here the Bass and SOME Guitar (of which isn’t even matching with her strumming). This is almost as bad as the Shokotan video where all shes doing is molesting the Guitar.
Not a bad song but I agree. The Beginning and Ending are probably the best parts of the song.
Well I guess this is just one of those songs I’ll probably end up loving after watching a few more eps of Higashi no Eden (like how I like PSYCHEDELIC SOULJAM from Soul Eater now that it’s finished)
ooh, really like the song x3
You can hear the guitar.
The bass is just loud, listen within the bass and you can hear the guitar.
but the focus is on the keys, and guitar is generally just basic rhythm and screechy sounds.
voice: too much breath, not enough sound;
too much digital work and redundant motion, not enough talent
Grow up helen
@sealouse
it was…last year
look it up on youtube.
I like the full song myself. I’m liking the band that I’ve listened to some of their previous stuff as well. It looks like their bassist left before the video was shot, so he’s not in it.
Not enough talent? Wow. Listen to some of their other stuff, or wait til this version comes out on cd.

OH! You’re my new favorite blogger fyi
@ Sent:
you sound like one of those who wouldn’t criticize anything done by the Japanese…
Actually, the bassist left like a few weeks or so before the video was shot, result, too bimbô to get a random bass player for the vid and trying to do some actual guitar playing.
Even though I said that about the guitar, I do enjoy this song to the fullest.
I like the song but I don’t like the PV upto before -0:34 period..
nothing special…
I really like this song. The PV was rather meh though.
