Omni, one question: What a server do you use? Do you rent one or have one private?
Everyone on the AnimeBlogger ring uses DreamHost. Hosting is covered by Maestro and by the occasional donation (Thank you donators!).
DreamHost has it’s good points and it’s bad, but that’s a discussion for another day (a day which may be fast approaching).
*Chi*, I believe https://randomc.net/about would have answered your question..from the looks of it, randomc.animeblogger.net is pretty much a subdomain that animeblogger provided for Omni’s Blog. ^_^

Hmm, if the time comes contact me^^ There are much better and faster server for that price in Germany^^ One of my, well lets say better earning relatives, has even his own private IBM server with 10mbit connection..

this is the best friggin site.. cant live without checking it out every 2 seconds!
For the record the downtime was because of a hardware failure on the server all the AnimeBlogger.net sites are hosted on. Dreamhost moved everything over to another server as quickly as possible but it does take time to do so (not to mention we aren’t the only people that were on that server).

And all donations are greatly appreciated. The way the donation system is setup all donations go directly to the hosting fees, they can’t be used for anything else. 🙂
