「ユウキ・カグラザカ」 (Yuuki • Kagurazaka)
“Yuuki Kagurazaka”
The pace of the show is accelerating quickly — maybe a little too quickly.
General Impressions
With the story picking right up where last week left things, this week’s episode started off pretty tame.
Between Charybdis’ underlings serving as a wonderful source of meat and materials and Rimuru having some time to just take it easy, it was nice to see everyone just having a good time. However this is TenShura we’re talking about, so even during times of peace there’s always something brewing behind the scenes. And this time we had something real serious in the pot — Rimuru finally starting to take action on Shizu’s last wishes.
Before I touch on those last wishes though, let me bring up one small gripe that’s been bugging me more and more recently — doesn’t the show or rather the story feel like it’s moving a bit too fast? If you remember early on it felt like the story was moving rather slowly as it built up the characters. Fast forward to right after the ogre arc and things were moving at a pretty good pace. However (and this may just be me), things have felt like they’re moving at breakneck speed ever since we finished Orc Disaster. Between Rimuru forming an alliance with multiple countries to Charybdis being obliterated, a lot of time has passed in the span of just a few episodes. That and it’s a big shame that all of the emotional impact that the earlier episodes had at the end of an “arc” have all but been lost since there’s just not enough time for you to become emotionally invested. Now don’t take this as me hating on the show — I still love TenShura and will support it through thick and thin. It’d just be nice if the show slowed down a little — especially such an important arc about to begin.
All that said, I really did enjoy this week’s episode. As I alluded to last week, I was stoked to see Yuuki finally introduced. As someone from Rimuru’s world, I was dying to see them geek out over otaku culture and all the various things Yuuki’s missed since he was summoned. With that need fulfilled, all the was left was to meet the kids that Shizu was taking care of before she passed away. Kids who, for a lack of better words, seem to be doing pretty good minus the fact that they’re all literal ticking time bombs.
All-in-all not to shabby of an episode. With (what I assume) is the final arc upon us, I do hope the story takes the time to slow things down a bit as we find out just what Rimuru has in mind to take care of the kids he’s been entrusted with. Luckily, it’s already Tuesday meaning it’ll only be another six days until we get to see what it is. Catch you guys then!

If Milim was given her own spin-off, I would name it “my little demon lord can’t be this cute/sexy.”

Can anyone identify any of these manga? I mean, like Outbreak Company, are these manga based on real world manga/anime? I at least know what of the anime mentioned was probably Ah My Goddess.
On the side note, I can bet that manga, such as One Piece, will never end. So it can be sad that our slime will never know how any ongoing manga, in his world, will end
@Greed The 1st pic is the Ride-on King, a recent ongoing isekai-themed manga by Baba Yasushi (creator of Karate Soukoshi Kohinata Minoru.)

It’s about a macho, badass martial-arts fighting dictator who gets sent to a fantasy isekai following a failed assassination attempt on his life; who is totally NOT Vladimir Putin of Russia.
Theres one which the cover is Houseki no Kuni, it’s the one he’s holding at one point, which he put on top of the one with freaking TENSURA as the cover.
Also, the magazine covers are Kodansha’s Shounen Sirius, which serializes the Slime Tensei manga. Likely all the manga shown are real Shounen Sirius titles.
the last one he was reading and then put away, was an Anime about “Gemstones” and such
I exploded with laughter when the Great
CopyingSage complained. Also, that blip w/Veldora — I wonder if that’s the segway for the Anime
original episode and this is a hint of his release… Interesting.
Also, did anyone understand this reference (hope I type this right)?
It’s about this picture Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken – 20 – Large 08.jpg
(Of course, I typo’d it)
Actually that was Veldora reacting to one of the kids for certain reasons we won’t get to this season, unfortunately.
cool — thank you.

The face you made when someone ask “Did luffy already found the one piece?”
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing lol. I think by the time many of us die, from old age possibly or any other cause of death, One Piece is still ongoing. Can’t tell if the names they mentioned are parody names of real manga/anime.

Sadly can’t find a one piece looking manga there. I do see Monster Princess. Can’t recognize all those other manga.
Belldandy is real.
Well yeah I know, but do you know the names of all those other anime mentioned and manga shown ?
One of those he asked if was completed was Glass Mask. Old manga, progress is worse than HxH.
It’s amaing on how different races can cooperate and enjoy prosperity from one slime. This is one of my favorite Isekai series.

I think there is a number of reasons on why our slime has been voted as very popular. Wonder how many reasons.

Damn, they skiped and changed soo much! but I enjoyed this episode more than the previous one.
I figured they’d skip the Dwargon political stuff so they would have time to really dive into the rest of Vol. 4. Here’s hoping for a return to form and a nice, slow ending.
I really hope that too, they also removed the Karion envoys and the adventurer test chapter.

Looks like Rimuru was right to be cautious in an all-human city. Sure, there’s high-tech, but there’s also the problem of anti-human prejudice. At least at first from Yuuki. Yuuki probably thought Shizu had been beaten-and-eaten by a less-than-human slime. Fortunately, Rimuru was a nerd in his previous life as well.
Rimuru also did a horrible job of explaining. He should’ve led with the part where he didn’t kill Shizu, not that he has Shizu’s mask and looks like Shizu and “hey, did you know that I can mimic the things I eat?”
Well I am in complete agreement with you on the pacing of the show and you said it more eloquently than I did when you highlighted the lack of emotional investment and impact…That is exactly what has been missing that I couldn’t quite put my fingers on even though I acknowledge it was moving too fast. This episode blitz though alot as well and I honestly not as optimistic as yourself that they will slow it down for this last arc. I am still enjoying the show and look forward to it every week and it will surely be missed when completed.
I’m kinda sad they skipped the exchange of envoys with Karion’s nation. I was looking foward to Show Spoiler ▼
I really wanted to see that too T.T

For crying out loud, dude, spoiler tags. Use them.
Bro, there are like 5 characters in the frame. 80% chance of getting the wrong answer. Viewers who haven’t explored Slime outside of the anime probably have no idea what I’m talking about. Until you mentioned it. You just spoiled them for good measure bro.
^_^
Stop being a troll. Show Spoiler ▼
This isn’t about an “80% chance of getting the wrong answer.” There shouldn’t BE an answer for people to try to get in the first place! No matter WHO you’re referring to, a future plot point SHOULD NOT BE MENTIONED AT ALL here.
@Wanderer and @Takaii
Being totally honest here, I have no intention of being a troll or to directly reveal future plot devices when I made my comment.
I saw the screenshot… and just wrote my thoughts about it. Perhaps I don’t think of anime that seriously so I never really thought much about it.
If you think of it seriously enough to be commenting on an anime site, it should be pretty obvious that you don’t post untagged spoilers, bro.
@Duh.
I respect your decision for not spoil us, but this happen because you surly know the Manga, right? Would you not agree, without know it you would not wrote this?
who else had a chuckle when he spoiled Belldandy finally…
There is a difference between going fast and skipping events, they have skipped the part where rimuru returns to the city of the dwarves, but it does not mean that they have removed it I think that they only changed the order of events they will end with this saga and then in a future second season they will resume the parts that were skipped.
Yes. Everything is going too fast. Large amounts of content have been cut, including more than half of volume 3.
If they’d held to the pace they were going in the beginning and middle of the series, the series would have ended right around at the end of volume 3, with the Charybdis fight capping it out as a bit of a climax, and maybe leaving us with some teases of future events. Instead, they’re trying to cram all of volume 4 into the anime as well, which can only be managed by cutting out large amounts of content, some of which is very important content.
Hi.
Don’t be a dick and please tag spoilers with spoiler tags.
Thanks :^)
One thing that really got me laughing was the guy asking about “Five Star–” which is obviously Five Star Stories, a manga that started in 1986, still ongoing and unfinished, and with such a glacial production that there are only 14 manga volumes so far.
