Being a drama, this series didn’t get any mention in the Summer 2010 Preview, but is actually airing in the top noitaminA time slot this season. The 11-episode anime adaptation aired in the noitaminA time slot back in fall 2007, and most of its episodes were covered here.

It’s the third day of the Spring Festival and the university campus is still in a state of lockdown.

Sawaki is having a perfectly normal day, until he comes across a walking blob covered in various bacteria on the street.

The freshmen students are busy in their classes, which require planting crops in the university’s many paddy fields.

It’s a brand new day, and Sawaki wakes up in the shabby dorm room of the sophomore students.

Sawaki runs out to the balcony of the laboratory with Kei to look for the source of the sudden influx of lactobacillus fructivorans.

You’re not alone if you’ve been thinking this season has a lack of original shows, but now there’s a remedy: Moyashimon (もやしもん Tales of Agriculture) just started airing in the Noitamina slot on Fuji TV, Thursdays at 24:45, where it will run for 11 episodes.
