「真の悪、ふたたび」 (Shin no Waru, Futatabi)
“True Evil, Revisited”
The Jiggle Butt Gang is back, not sure if it’s a good thing, but it put Wendy’s character in the spotlight – which to me, is good. While FAIRY TAIL is a nice guild in general with kind members and family-like bonds, I think no one has a kinder heart than Wendy. It’s always nice to see Wendy’s kindness in midst of all the fights going on. Oh, also, I really like this costume on Wendy, she is adorable! My only question is: how did she get it? Didn’t Erza rip it to pieces? Oh well, the gang must’ve had some more hidden somewhere (where?) because these costumes are part of their pride.
Erza is less adorable in the outfit (still gorgeous though), but it was interesting to see her in it, with the flower and all. Too bad the flower wilted. Poor Erza, that fart in the face, I can’t even imagine how that must’ve felt. I admit, I actually laughed (as the childish person I am) when this happened because I didn’t expect anything like this and it felt so random. Charle was also quite funny this week; I felt sorry for her, but I can’t agree with her, that costume suits Wendy!
Still on the comedy track, the best moment for me was Happy crying over the fact that Lucy’s sex appeal finally worked as a decoy. It was a hilarious scene! While this was good for the sake of comedy, I wonder how a simpleton such as Dan could be a part of the Legion Corps. I doubt Natsu’s battle is “over” just because he managed to beat Dan with some help from Romeo. Coco is still lurking around, but I’m sure she’s no longer the enemy. Dan is in the preview, holding an image – probably his plans for a future family with Lucy, so he isn’t out of the picture yet. Plus, I don’t expect this filler arc to end now, but I do believe FAIRY TAIL will return to its main story with the autumn season.
So overall, this episode had its moment but it wasn’t as good as the previous one. While a lot of characters got some moment of glory, I feel that the butts ruined it all. I don’t think they suit this anime that well; they’re rather over the top. I certainly hope we don’t see them again.
Now that both Natsu’s team and Erza’s team have found their clock parts, it’s time for Gajeel’s team to shine. I doubt they’ll be fighting because their opponent is Samuel, but you never know – he is a clever exceed. It also seems that the Strauss siblings will be fighting next week, so I’m looking forward to that!
