Continuing on from last week’s momentum, this week’s episode was terrific. We got a little bit of everything that makes the show worth watching and then a little bonus right at the end.

Yokoi is too cute

I know a lot of people have commented about Hanazawa Kana doing a great job voicing Yokoi throughout the previous episodes but if I had to pick a just one, this week’s episode takes the cake. Ranging from super cute to totally devastated, this episode had it all. My personal favorite though would probably be the moment Yokoi totally lost it when she first spotted that tiny stuffed bear with its cute little backpack and binoculars.

Seki-kun’s Bold Scheme

It never occurred to me that Maeda was one of those kids who could intimidate you just by staring you down. But assuming that Seki-kun and Yokoi already knew this, you have to give some credit to Seki-kun for being so manly this week. Unlike previous episodes where all he did was get some wood chips on his shirt, Seki-kun completely invaded Maeda’s personal bubble. While I’m still trying to figure out how he managed to attach a binder clip onto Madea’s shirt without him noticing (those things are heavy!), I can’t help but laugh at Seki-kun for nearly getting caught.

Looking Ahead

After being treated to two episodes that have diverged off the beaten path, I hope things continue to stay this strong as the winter season comes to a close. On to next week!

No, Rumi-chan, you’re the one who is kawaii. Too much so. Stop looking at Seki, he doesn’t deserve you! Look only at me instead!!!

  2. Welp, double down again…this time by Maeda…

so…after all that mayhem for this and last week, I think we can agree that we can omit episode 10 into the scoreboard…

    …and add another person in.

Now, for the score (note: ep.10 has been omitted)

    Seki – 5
    Yokoi – 6
    Uzawa – 1, Maeda – 1
