「堀部糸成の時間」 (Horibe Itona No Jikan)
“Horibe Itona Time”
Okay, before we start, can I just say — Did I call it? Or did I call it? 🙂
While he played a supporting role throughout most of this mini arc, I think Teresaka deserves some attention for the huge 180 he’s made since his betrayal early on during the first season. He’s shown us that he’s more than just a meathead who knows how to shove his weight around, he’s shown his skills in leading the group during tough situations, but most importantly he’s demonstrated just how crucial he’s been when a lone classmate ends up in a tough situation. When it comes to Itona, I think a large dose of Teresaka and his buddies is exactly what the doctor would have ordered. Shining some light into the eyes of a dead fish (or maybe it’s angry fish in his case?) and a nice bash to the head to really set things straight probably did more than any lecture or beating would have done.
In any case, good on you Teresaka for once again being the guy who pulls someone out of a real dark situation with that unusual charm of yours!
Itona Joins The Class!
Just like I thought last week, it’s finally time for Itona to join the class! While it didn’t feel as great as I thought it would (since Teresaka and company stole most of the show after Shiro ran away), I guess Itona’s crazy behavior sort of makes sense. And even if I don’t personally believe it, I suppose to a younger kid, seeing your father lose everything because of his beliefs could push you off of the deep end. Especially if you understood that he was the underdog and just couldn’t get ahead of those with an overwhelming advantage. Toss in a crazy dirtbag like Shiro who preys on those kinds of situations and you have a pretty toxic combination. Luckily Itona finally managed to escape!
After a rather slow start, it feels like Assclass has finally hit its stride. Luckily, it made it just in time for the three-episode test (which I’m not quite sure you can really apply to a sequel), but I’m assuming if you’re watching you’re probably in for the long haul. Anyways, I’ll catch you guys next week when we get to see an ever growing class try to assassinate their sensei in order to save the world from being oliberated. See you later!
