Steins;Gate – 25 (Bonus Episode)
「シュタインズ ゲート 横行跋扈のポリオマニア」 (Oukoubakko no Poriomania)
“Egoistic Poriomania”
Note to self – “I am mad scientist. United States. Chaos. And invade!” is the wrong thing to say to Homeland Security
「シュタインズ ゲート 横行跋扈のポリオマニア」 (Oukoubakko no Poriomania)
“Egoistic Poriomania”
Note to self – “I am mad scientist. United States. Chaos. And invade!” is the wrong thing to say to Homeland Security
「くもゐにまがふおきつしらなみ」 (Kumoi ni Magō Oki tsu Shiranami)
“The Crusting Waves Almost Look Like Clouds in the Sky”
Only five more Taichi Tuesdays to go. Can it really be possible?
「Sphere joint -変調-」 (Henchou)
It’s the small and profound moments in Another that elevate what could be just a fascinating intellectual exercise into something that truly connects on a gut level.
「全件削除」 (Zenken Sakujo)
“Delete all Messages”
I actually enjoy the omakes at the end of Mirai Nikki episodes, but I’ve noticed that their absence tends to be a good sign – it usually means the pacing of the ep was as batcrap crazy as Yuno herself, and that’s the Mirai Nikki I like best.
「王様の帰還」
“The Return of the King”
It’s pretty clear that neither the mangaka or the director of this adaptation was too worried about unrealistically building up Araki Ryuuichi, but the shaft of light from the heavens as he walked (floated?) onto the pitch may just have been a bit much…
「ながらへば」 (Nagaraeba)
“As the Years Pass”
So I’m thinking if you didn’t love this episode of Chihayafuru, this is definitely not the series for you…
「Face to face -二人-」 (Futari)
So if Steins;Gate can win fan polls for “Best Romance” of 2011, can Another with them for 2012?
「混線」 (Konsen)
“Crossed Lines”
There are an awful lot of revelations in this episode, some more obvious than others, but I suspect it will mostly be remembered as the one where Yuki finally “manned up”. I doubt that will satisfy the legions of haters out there, but at least the specifics of the complaints might change a little.
「激突! FC対SC!!」 (Gekitotsu ! FC tai SC !!)
“Clash! FC vs SC!!”
Whatever miracle diet “King” Araki was on, he needs to patent it, because he’ll never have to work a day in his life. Seriously? Two weeks and what, 50 pounds? This kid should be in bed hooked up to an IV, not playing soccer.
「はなそむかしのかににほいける」 (Hana zo Mukashi no Ka ni Nioikeru)
“The Plum Blossoms Still Smell the Same”
What seems clear is that what’s true in chess and tennis is true in Karuta – the best way to get better is to play people better than you are, as long as you pay close attention. Mizusawa (Fight-o!) is the living proof of that, and they should be a formidable team if their competitive (and romantic) passions don’t break them apart.
