I can already see that this episode has caused probably the widest rift yet among the viewers – both manga readers and anime-only alike.

It would have been a lot of fun to watch this episode without knowing beforehand what was going to happen.  I wonder if that’s possible, somehow.  Perhaps traveling back in time…

“Breach of contract”

Well, give yourself a cookie if you figured it out…

「切断」 (Setsudan)
“Disconnection”

So there’s your breather episode before the action picks up for the final arc…

「暗証番号」 (Anshō Bangō)

So I guess those cute little omakes with Muru-Muru just wouldn’t feel right anymore, would they?

Speaking as a huge fan of the manga, I’m extremely pleased with what Asread did with the chapters that made up this week’s episode – some of the most important of Mirai Nikki, and among my favorites.

「全件削除」 (Zenken Sakujo)
“Delete all Messages”

I actually enjoy the omakes at the end of Mirai Nikki episodes, but I’ve noticed that their absence tends to be a good sign – it usually means the pacing of the ep was as batcrap crazy as Yuno herself, and that’s the Mirai Nikki I like best.

「混線」 (Konsen)
“Crossed Lines”

There are an awful lot of revelations in this episode, some more obvious than others, but I suspect it will mostly be remembered as the one where Yuki finally “manned up”. I doubt that will satisfy the legions of haters out there, but at least the specifics of the complaints might change a little.

“Family Discount”

Sometimes in an anime, a character will say something that’s been obvious to the viewer all along, but never muttered aloud on screen. The interesting part comes in seeing how the characters react to it.

With three chapters to cover and a new OP and ED to highlight, it’s no wonder the omake was skipped this week.

To say that Yuno’s relationship with her “Yukkii” took a new turn would be quite an understatement, and I don’t mean her helping him to pee-pee.
