(Naki Mushi Sakusofon)
“Crybaby Saxophone”
It should not come as a surprise to learn that this gloomy, dramatic episode was produced by the staff of Hyouka.

(Tadaima Fesutibaru)
“Festival Time”
We certainly shifted gears in this one, storming straight into the Sun Festival with no time to waste.

(Utau yo Sorufeju )
“Singing Solfège”
You could say this was the slowest episode so far, and I wouldn’t disagree. But it was also the best episode so far.

(Hajimete Ansanburu)
“First Ensemble”
I bet all the people who dismissed this as K-On! 2.0 are feeling silly right now.

(Yoroshiku Yuufoniamu)
“Hi, Euphonium”
There’s always high expectations for production values when it comes to KyoAni, so it isn’t a surprise that Hibike! Euphonium looks this good. But even with those expectations, there were moments in this episode that were truly gorgeous.

(Youkoso Hai Sukuuru)
“Welcome, High School”
Before you say it, no, Hibike! Euphonium is not the second coming of K-On! This is a novel adaptation filled with music, drama, and a dash of slice-of-life, seen through the eyes of a main character that feels very real. If anything, this first episode was more like Hyouka than anything else KyoAni has produced.
