Yagate Kimi ni Naru – 01
(Watashi wa Hoshi ni Todokanai)
“I Can’t Reach the Star”
Rated R18+ for lewd hand holding.
(Watashi wa Hoshi ni Todokanai)
“I Can’t Reach the Star”
Rated R18+ for lewd hand holding.
(Yami no Ippanshimin)
“Ordinary Citizen of the Dark”
I couldn’t have asked for more from Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san’s anime adaptation.
“Good Morning Saga”
There are so many things both wrong and right about Zombieland Saga that’s is tough for me figure out where to start.
(Senpai wa Bunny Girl)
“My Senpai Is a Bunny Girl “
Seishun Buta Yarou has a promising start as an abnormal school life anime that explores the meaning of presence, adolescence, and what you can get away with wearing when no one can see you.
(Futatsu no Taiyou ni Hoero!)
“Howl at the Two Suns!”
(Saraba, Okappa Keiji!)
“Farewell, Detective Okappa!”
Much like the buses in London, Double Decker‘s first two episode provide twice the fun.
(Mezameta Basho)
“The Place He Awakened”
Why is it so darn hard to make robots that won’t kill us?
(Boufuu Ryuu Veldra)
“The Storm Dragon, Verudora”
For once, an isekai protagonist doesn’t get done in by a wayward truck.
(Hitome no Otoko)
“The 10th Man”
In a very real sense, for me the Fall 2018 anime season starts with Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru.
(4 Ji 44 Pun no Gishiki)
“Ritual at 4:44 “
Although there are no elevators or infidelity in this ritual, Akanesasu Shoujo brings enough intrigue as it delves into a world within radio frequencies.
Ah, spring is here! Well, it is down here in Australia anyway, where the weather is heating up and the sooty smell of bushfire is already in the air. Fun. In animeland, though, it’s autumn, the season of food and plenty, so accordingly we have a fresh crop of shows ready for harvest. The seeds of sequels sown sooner have since seen sprout, giving us six more episodes of the singular FLCL, a third season of the seminal To Aru Majutsu no Index, and an insane 4-cour streak of Sword Art Online. Still starving for serials? Then Fairy Tale, Tokyo Ghoul, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure all serve second (or more) seasons. But if you’re sick to your stomach of the same script, you should seek special stimulation. The least straightforward shows of any season are the originals, and Fall 2018 has several across the spectrum, from P.A. Work’s supernatural slice-of-life Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara to the hard science-fiction of RErideD to… whatever Release the Spyce supposes to screen. But enough of this silliness. As always, our crack team of animethusiasts have taste-tested all of this season’s offerings and are waiting to provide you with samples and suggestions for your informed viewing pleasure. This is Random Curiosity’s Fall 2018 Preview.
