Given how Mitsuba will lie out her ass like there’s no tomorrow just to save herself some embarrassment, the tool shed behind her house could probably be considered her second home. This time, it’s not about forgetting her underwear, but teaching naive first-graders that being a sex addict is a prestigious thing. In contrast to Hitoha’s Gachi Ranger misunderstandings, Mitsuba’s form of comic relief has always been being a prime example of reaping what she sows. As such, when she falls out of a tree after acting all high and mighty in front of Miku’s younger brother Ryuuta (Takayama Yuuko), you can be sure that I’ll be laughing instead of showing concern for her well-being. I say if she’s going to act tough, then she better be built tough to withstand that kind of abuse at a minimum! On some level, I’m well aware that she’s not that bad of a person. However, for the sake of a Mitsuba-centric episode where the laughs are going to be run wild, her superiority complex just had to clash with her little bit of a conscience. While she did manage to save Ryuuta’s classmates from having this misunderstanding come back to haunt them with some tough love, it’ll be interesting to see how far it runs rampant in Futaba’s mind. She more or less is a sex addict with her breast fetish, but far too naive herself to let her grow up wanting to become one.
What I love about Futaba’s simple-minded nature though is that she doesn’t forget the little things, such as how Hitoha told her not to tell Mitsuba or their father about her love of Gachi Rangers. Granted, that basically led to a misunderstanding over her Gachi Ranger t-shirt and Deluxe Gachi Belt that she and Mitsuba broke, and the two of them ravaging Ryuuta for his stuff when they couldn’t figure out where to buy her replacements. Still, it’s night and day when it comes to how Futaba will apologize on her knees for ruining Hitoha’s shirt and give her a hand-made replacement that takes fandom to a whole new level, whereas Mitsuba will blame it on their father. I hope she’s cozy in that tool shed out back for doing so. As for the very last skit, there was a lot going on with Miku over taking photos of Mitsuba in her feverish state in hopes of using it against her someday, Hitoha not being shy about her secret stash of porn, and everyone helping retrieve what they believed to be medicine for Mitsuba. There was even some mini drama that developed when Miku refused to help at first, before things ended with some of Soujirou’s hemorrhoid medicine up Mitsuba’s butt. It may have been a bit of a shock to everyone once they realized their mix up, but it did make her feel better, so we’ll just knock another one off to the good ‘ol placebo effect. I will refrain from making any comments about Mitsuba’s sudden relief over having something shoved up her butt though. Oh wait…
* Good news for Mitsudomoe fans! A second season has been green-lit for Winter 2011 after a one-cour break.

Yep, another hilarious episode. The misunderstandings in this show are played up so well, even though it’s been toilet jokes the whole way through for the most part I can’t stop laughing. I loved how Mitsuba’s mistaking Hitoha showing her Gacchi Ranger t-shirt for flashing somehow led to kid’s wanting to become “nymohos”. The punch line in the last act about the hemorrhoid medicine took the cake.
The news about Mitsudomoe getting a season 2 this fall is excellent. I was hoping we’d get another season while watching the episode last night but I had no idea it would come this fall. So far season 2 of this and the Beelzebub anime have me looking forward anxiously for winter season, not to mention all the great season carry overs *cough*Star Driver and Index*cough*
Hitoha is so awesome. Actually, all the characters are awesome. Man, this is starting to become one of my favorite comedies.

YES! 2nd Season! After going on dry when K-On!! ends, I can have some relief by seeing my adorable trio again! YES!(Awesome is the fact this fall will have Sora No Otoshimono for comic relief). Isn’t Baka no test to Shoukanjou this fall or is it winter?
Baka to Test season 2 is set for 2011. And I think Panty & Stocking w/ Garterbelt will be a more proper replacement for Mitsudomoe than Sora no Otoshimono. You should give it a try.

I can’t compare Sora and Mitsudomoe…but they’re both series where I grew attached to the characters. Hahaha great! I can’t wait for another season of baka!
I did not like this episode very much. The only laughs I got were when Hitoha “flashed” Ryuuta, and the scene where Mitsuba and Futaba broke Hitoha’s Gachi Ranger gear which includes her reaction to finding out Mitsuba broke her belt, lol.

I get the impression from Hitoha’s lecture towards Ryuuta that their mother passed away when they were younger, hence her asking him to better appreciate his toys.
That shirt Futaba made was probably the best hand-made replacement ever!
