Fair or not, anime are always graded on a curve. And it’s a tough week for Aldnoah.Zero.
This month has felt incredibly long for me – with five weeks in November, that’s a total of five episodes for each show that I’m watching. Crazy! Not to mention that the holiday season is quickly approaching which means another season finale, another season preview and of course, our year-end post! Hurray! But in the meantime, we’re here to talk to you about what we’re enjoying this season, what’s lacking and how shows are measuring up to our expectations. Feel free to discuss any shows that we’re not blogging (or are blogging) on a regular basis and provide your two cents here. We’d love to hear what you think so far.
Another season, another monthly impressions. This season offers us a wide selection of sci-fi, fantasy and comedy series coupled with carryovers from the summer so there’s bound to be something that catches your eye. This post brings you our initial impressions of shows that we’ve been following for the past several weeks (plus any summer carryovers). If you’re wondering which shows have passed the three-episode rule or which ones you’re missing out on, give this a read through. On the other hand, there may be shows that haven’t met our expectations and you’ll hear about them here as well. We would love to hear your thoughts on shows as well so if there’s anything that we could have missed, feel free to discuss it here.

Now that the fall preview is out, it’s time to give you a first look at some of the shows we’ll be blogging. This is Random Curiosity’s Fall 2014 blogging schedule.
As always, this is a tentative overview of our plans for the new season. We’ll also be doing introductory posts on many of the shows we’re not covering, so if something catches our eyes, things will be shifted around to accommodate. The schedule will be updated to reflect any changes.
As the winter snow thaws, the spring blossoms bloom. It’s a wonderful season for going outside and smelling the fresh air. But sometimes, rain showers and pollen can throw a wrench in anyone’s appreciation of the great outdoors. Whether you plan to observe spring’s bountiful beauty in person or wish to bask in the comfort of your own home, one thing will always stay the same; there will be a new slate of seasonal anime waiting for you.
For those who want to bask in nature, you’re in luck since Yuru Camp returns for some cozy camping this season. With baseball season around the corner, get ready to be pumped up to root for Boukyaku Battery. Or perhaps you’d like to spend some time inside in the warm, intimate setting of Bartender. Fantasy fans can also look forward to the return of Konosuba and the latest installments of Mushoku Tensei and Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken. Shonen enjoyers are eating well too with Boku no Hero Academia and Kimetsu no Yaiba, side-by-side.
Newer fare like Kaijuu 8-gou and Blue Archive aim to add some extra variety to the mix. Love is also on the menu with Tadaima, Okaeri, and Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau as standout selections that won’t fail to thrill. This season also aims to recapture the magic of fond memories with a new Ookami to Koushinryou, Kuroshitsuji’s latest mystery, and Hibike! Euphonium’s triumphant return.
Out of all of the anime this season, which one will be the grand slam that brings the winning team home?
「覚悟 ~カメリアとの戦い~」 (Kakugo ~Kameria to no Tatakai~)
“Resolve ~The Conflict with Camellia~”
Yes we already had the first seasonal fantasy adventure – but what about the second?
Ahh winter. Snow; festivities; hectic family get togethers: it truly is the most wonderful time of the year, and while global pandemics (and 2020 in general) may be giving the venerable Chevy Chase a run for his money when it comes to overall holiday insanity this year, rest assured that anime is here to help smoothen out any seasonal wrinkles. This season is absolutely jam packed, as culture-defying Shingeki no Kyojin continues its march towards full adaptation, the critically acclaimed isekais Re: Zero and Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken return for their latest sequels, and shounen staples Nanatsu no Taizai and Dr. STONE jump back into the ring with new and eagerly anticipated material. Not to be outdone either are the surprise (and heavily anticipated) appearances by isekai legend Log Horizon and genre defining romcom Horimiya, while Yakusoku no Neverland emerges for its next kick at the horror can. And the fun doesn’t stop there: besides a couple of intriguing anime originals in Back Arrow and Wonder Egg Priority showing up for some spice, fantasy and isekai further reinforce their presence thanks to revenge tale Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi, isekai progenitor Mushoku Tensei, and the spider-gone-isekai Kumo Desu ka, all the while the bodily Hataraku Saibou, wholly healing Non Non Biyori, and anthropomorphic Beastars help round out the showcase. It truly is a season of plenty – and the above is only half of the offering! This is Random Curiosity’s Winter 2021 Preview:
