「休戦協定」 (Kyuusen Kyoutei)
“Truce”
Well that was an interesting episode.
General Impressions
After last week’s explosive ending, I wasn’t sure just where things would kick off this week. Luckily it looks like thing are going to work out with Kirito finally getting some time to truly interact with Integrity Knight Alice.
If there was any possibility of Alice being convinced that Kirito and Eugeo weren’t these “evil beings” that bring destruction with them, I was willing to bet that it’d take some fancy wordplay from Kirito to help unlock the memories hiding deep inside of her mind. And lo and behold we’ve literally been given a situation where Alice must interact with Kirito in order for the two to stay alive. Sure, it may have felt a little awkward at first especially with Kirito straight up calling Alice an idiot, but I was really happy with how quickly the relationship between the two grew. That and you can bet I’m waiting for the moment where all of the good things Kirito does manages to trump Alice’s need to slay him.
On the other side of things, I was really surprised to see the story jump back to the real world this week. Mostly for the fact that you can definitely tell that something’s going on, but we get so little time or information that it feels like the story is going out of its way to just tease us. Because, come on, how can you show us an ominous scientist and a huge Japanese warship escort ship suddenly leaving early and not expect us to think that something big is about to go down?!
Overall, not much really happened in this week’s episode. Serving as more of a transitional episode, we got to see the makings of three different plots that’ll hopefully all come together by the end of is. From Kirito and Alice forming a truce to get back into the Central Cathedral safely to Eugeo taking on the legendary hero, we even have to worry about what’s going on in the real world since things around Asuna seem to be heating up as well. Luckily we have a ton of episodes still left for the series and I’m hoping that each and every point gets the opportunity to really get flshed out. In any case, I’ll catch you guys next week where we’ll hopefully get to see some more cute scenes with Kirito and Alice. See you then!

The reason Administrator didn’t remove all of the Integrity Knights memories:
As a person’s learned abilities are greatly linked to the person’s memories, erasing all of the victim’s memories would cause the victim to lose their secret swordsmanship moves and Sacred Arts techniques, therefore Quinella only obstructed the most personal memories. The Module is inserted in a way that it would obstruct the links between such memories, thus sealing the history of the victim and instead creating false memories while simultaneously forcing in absolute loyalty towards the Axiom Church.

I’m sure real athletes, even if adrenaline kicks in and if they magically make sticks, would consider Kirito’s stunt to be crazy. Meh.
That’s just not how physics work.
Do not bring Real Law Physics into animes
Not gonna lie: my stomach lurched while they were scaling the wall and fighting the gargoyles. GG animators.

Being the greatest swordsmen just means that your good with a weapon but you can still make stupid mistakes like hanging for dear life.
Let’s see here, this golden sword has luster, beautiful to look at and firm, all good qualities particularly the firm part since there is no ground as far as the eye can see.

Tbh, this entire episode was me just laughing at the interactions between Kirito and Alice.
Mostly due to me imagining how it would sound to the rabid MatsuokaxKayanon fans. xD
Alice=Saber=Red “Umu” Saber.
never liked asuna
