Angel Beats! – 02
「Guild」
Oh wow, I had no idea we’re dealing with a comedy here. Or at least that’s what Key and P.A. Works made me think with this gag-filled episode that had me laughing more than other comedies this season.

「急転直下」 (Kyuuten Chokka)
“A Sudden Turn”
I wasn’t planning to pick up this series since I wasn’t caught up with it, but after an anime day marathon, here’s the latest episode of Durarara with new opening and ending themes and all.
「学園祭でもメイド様」 (Gakuensai demo Maid-sama)
“A Maid Even at The School Festival”
I had a pretty good indication of how biased Misaki is against guys, but this episode made me wonder if the series should be retitled, “The Student Council President is a Dictator”.
Have the new Fullmetal Alchemist opening and ending themes caught on with you yet? Well if not, here’s the PV for Nakagawa Shoko‘s latest addition to the series’ ending themes. There’s not much in the way of cosplay from “Shokotan” like she’s known for, but the PV still showcases her visual appeal pretty nicely (i.e. cuteness). As for the song itself, it’s grown on me over the course of the week and I really like the lead in to it, which works well from the anime’s standpoint. Enjoy!
「After the rain」
MADHOUSE is badass and doesn’t mess around here, so if you’re looking for a dark series that is far beyond the usual stuff, consider this adaptation of Abe George (Jouji) and Kakizaki Masumi’s award-winning manga. Just don’t let the title fool you. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows here.
「迷い猫、駆けた」 (Mayoi Neko, Kaketa)
“Stray Cat, Dashed”
If you’ve been missing AIC and their great cat comedy Nyan Koi, then look no further than their new project this season involving the same felines we love, but of a slightly human variety too!
「救出行」 (Kyuushutsu-kou)
“Rescue”
Coming off the completion of their first project, So-Ra-No-Wo-To, Anime no Chikara follows up with their second original series — an espionage anime involving secret intelligence agents who can use super-human abilities.
「1 BRIDGE」
The one series I was worried about due to SHAFT studio and director Shinbou Akiyuki‘s involvement turned out much better than I expected in its premiere episode.
