One-Punch Man – 01
(Saikyou no Otoko)
The Strongest Man”
At last, the most anticipated anime of the season (and possibly of the entire year) is here. Expectations were high, but did it deliver? Hell yeah.

(Tatari)
“Curse”
The epic fantasy apparent of the season starts by carefully laying out its fantasy, and holds back but a hint of the epic. In short: there is promise.
“Ougi Formula”
‘No matter how horrible the memory, after it all comes out it becomes just a story.’
(Kaen no majo)
“Witch of the Resplendent Flames”
Eh, not my thing.
(Rupan Sansei no Kekkon)
“The Marriage of Lupin III”
After 30 years, Lupin III returns to our screens with a new addition to the original timeline. However, if you’re unfamiliar with the franchise then you shouldn’t be turned off this new series, as it serves as a perfect introduction to the cast and their thievish ways.
(Shigo no na o kanshi)
“Bearing a Posthumous Name”
If there’s anything Noragami Aragoto‘s first episode means to do, it’s give us more of the same—but that’s not an entirely bad thing.
(Pasonaru Entame AI! Hakka Doru!)
“Personal Entertainment AI! HackaDoll!”
Attention: Trigger is back with their latest short! It may not be saving anime any time soon, but it still provides some good, goofy fun.
(Satei)
“Assessment”
or
“‘Tell us why you suck’: the Trials and Tribulations of ichinose Futaba.”
(Senshi-tachi no Utage)
“The Banquet of Warriors”
Love it or hate it, Shokugeki no Souma ends off smack in the middle of the Autumn Elections… but it’s not necessarily a cliffhanger.

Insert obligatory boner joke here. |
I find myself terribly conflicted about this series. I think I enjoyed it … but then why did I always have to force myself to watch the next episode? It could be that I liked the idea of Overlord more than the reality of it. For all its strengths and interesting ideas, there was always one thing missing: It wasn’t compelling.
