TARI TARI – 01

「飛び出したり誘ったり」 (Tobidashishitari Sasottari)
“Running and Inviting”

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t too excited the moment I opened the first episode of TARI TARI. Most of it probably came from Divine’s less than excited opinion about another slice-of-life anime from P.A. Works with a premise that on paper sounds about as fun as playing with a dead cat. However, by the time the credits started to roll I was a little shocked by how strongly the show really grabbed me in.

Hyouka – 10

「万人の死角」 (Banjin no Shikaku)
“What No One Noticed”

What started as a simple mediocre amateur movie project is slowly turning into a path of self-discovery — and I have no problems with that. What I do want to point out before we dive into this episode is that for anyone who’s on the fence about Hyouka should really tune in for this current arc!

Hyouka – 08, 09

「試写会に行こう!」 (Shisya Kaini Ikou!)
“Let’s Go To the Screening!”

Sometimes, I think that Kyoto Animation has the ability to read our minds. Somehow, someway, they always seem to changes things at just the right moment to keep their shows fun and interesting. And in regards to this episode, I couldn’t have asked for a better format change up.

Acchi Kocchi – 10

「くまエンカウント⇔ラブリマス」 (Kuma Enkaunto to Raburimasu)
“Bear Encounter ⇔ Lovelymas”

If there’s one thing that I really like about a show, it’s when it leaves no mystery behind. And seeing how the season is coming to a close soon, I was happily surprised when the mystery behind the man with a bag on his head and the bear giving a thumbs up was revealed.

Acchi Kocchi – 09

「ワタシを包んで!⇔恋とロマンの学園祭」 (Watashi wo Tsutsunde! to Koi to Roman no Gakuensai)
“Wrap Me Up! ⇔ Love and School Festival Romance”

After watching a vast amount of slice-of-lifes that try their hardest to portray the infamous culture festival without boring us, it’s been quite a while since a show has been able to blow me away in terms of the story and the overall goal the “group” has.
