「世界で一番パパが好き」 (Sekai de Ichiban Papa ga Suki)
“I Love The World’s Best Papa”

I don’t know where PapaKiki pulled this one from, but this week’s episode may have been the best of them all. There was a lot of Hina, a bit of Sora, a pinch of Raika, and a whole lot of touching family moments.

「涯てより開く」 (Hateyori Hiraku)
“The End Over the Horizon”

After watching the finale a few times, I must say that I’m satisfied with what J.C. Staff has given us. While it may not have been exactly what I wanted, there was just enough nostalgia to tip this final episode from good to great.

「世界を超えて」 (Sekai wo Koete)
“Crossing Over the World”

For the finale to one of the biggest sleeper hits of the season, I’m not sure if I particularly enjoyed the note things wrapped up on. Maybe the finer points were lost on me but I expected something much, much larger.

「変わりゆく歴史、変わらぬ心 」 (Kawariyuku rekishi, kawaranu kokoro)
“Changing History, Unchanging Heart”

Never did I think the day would come when I could put (END) into a Bleach post.

「(もれいづるつきのかげのさやけさ」 (Moreizuru Tsuki no Kage no Sayakesa)
“Moonlight, Clear and Bright”

I don’t want it to be true, but it is – this is the last Taichi Tuesday.  I’m grateful to have had the chance to watch such a superb, heartfelt and thoroughly wonderful anime as Chihayafuru.

「あの夏で待ってる。」 (Ano Natsu de Matteru.)
“Waiting in the Summer.”

Multiple times during this final episode, I thought I had figured out how everything would end. Every time, I was wrong. But I’m okay with this, because the end result was perfect for what this show has always been – a beautiful love story. Final impressions inside.

「死者」 (Shisha)
“Stand by oneself”

Arrggh… Another, I love you as a series – but this feeling I have right now isn’t what I was hoping it would be when you ended.

「またいつの日か、鴨川で」 (Mata Itsu no Hi ka, Kamogawa de)
“Until We Meet Again, In Kamogawa”

A haunting episode full of partings. I’m finding myself unable to quite put into words my feelings about this final offering, which isn’t an ideal situation for a writer to be in. Still, I’ll give it a shot. The final episode of Rinne no Lagrange season one, and some thoughts about the series over all. Let’s do this thing.

「ゼロの使い魔」 (Zero no Tsukaima)
“The Familiar Of Zero”

After 50 episodes spread out over 4 seasons, the Zero no Tsukaima anime series has come to a close. There was a bit of a bang, and a bit of a whimper, but the most important thing got a resolution in the end. And no, it wasn’t that whole silly Ancient Dragon thing. Gotta resolve that harem!

「約束、守りに来ました！」 (Yakusoku, Mamori ni Kimashita!)
“I’m Here to Keep My Promise!”

This episode contained an epic confrontation against an apparently immortal foe, and included plenty of sacrifice, surprising reveals, a meddling onii-sama, and romance to boot. Oh, and there was only one panty flash the whole time. Yes, we’re still talking about High School DxD here! Read on for final impressions.

Well, after 22 weeks, Guilty Crown finally ends. And in true GC fashion, the finale mixes stunning visuals and a great OST with some questionable plot.

「つきひフェニックス 其ノ參」 (Tsukihi Fenikkusu Sono Yon)
“Tsukihi Phoenix Part Four”

True to Nisemonogatari fashion, this final arc was resolved not with fists, but with words – like the question, “What is the value of a fake?”

「時をかけるローマ人」 (Toki wo Kakeru Rōmajin)
“The Roman Who Leapt Through Time”

It’s hard to explain why this little series is funny but it just is.

This post is over two months overdue, as the final manga-bundled OAD for Yozakura Quartet came out in early November, but I wanted to give a few quick impressions on this three-part series that goes all the way back to fall of 2010.
