You wanted action? Here it is. The battle to retake Bright Light Island unfolds, with plenty of meddling from Maou and Yuusha.

“｢You smell good, Maou｣｢And I feel safe in your arms, Yuusha｣”

Humans on demon land, and demons on human land. Well, it looks like Maou and Yuusha are going to have to do something about that.

「そんなことになったら勇者に噛みついてやる！」 (Sonna Kotoni Nattara Yuusha ni Kamitsuite Yaru!)
“If That Happens, I’ll Take a Bite Out of the Hero!”

This episode hit its high note early with the impressive negotiations between Maou and Seinen Shounin, but after that I was feeling the lack of Maou x Yuusha.

More characters are introduced, and the story’s scale grows larger as powerful factions get involved with Maou’s plans.

A fantasy deconstruction and a love story, shot through with lessons on politics, economics, human nature, and war that are relevant to our world today. That’s what we have in Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, and if the first episode is any indication, this is going to be a very good show.
