Senyu. – 01
(Yuusha, Tabidatsu.)
“The Hero Journeys Forth.”
Perhaps the most important thing for a comedy short to possess is good humour. Does Senyu. fit the bill? Hell yeah!

(Sakurasaku)
“The Blooming of the Cherry Blossoms”
It has been five years since the last season, where decades have passed in the world of Da Capo. The sakura trees are blooming once more to grant wishes…at a price. What will the new generation of Hatsunejima do this time?
(Matenrou ni Tatsu Ninja)
“The ninja that stands by the skyscraper”
This is not an anime about ninjas.
(Haru no Hajimari, Minami-ke no Hajimari)
“Spring is Here, and so are the Minamis”
My God, it’s like being in 2007 again. Pinch me.
Does this mean Seirei no Moribito will be back in the Spring and Ghost Hound in the Fall?
(Gizou Tsuuka Insatsu Jiken/Inaba Hiroshi Yuukai Jiken)
“The Counterfeit Currency Incident/The Inaba Hiroshi Kidnapping Incident”
Can it be? Is Cuticle Tantei Inaba signalling the advent of something (un)holy that will shake the very foundations of the anime world?
(Koukou Seikatsu no Sutāto wa Shuraba)
“The Start of High School Hell”
…and so a terribly dysfunctional and fake relationship begins, with the osananajimi already doomed as the primary rival. Let’s welcome Oreshura, where the post-chuunibyou and two-faced “lover” collide!
(Shoujo Saiban)
“Girls’ Trial”
If this episode is a sign of things to come, then we’re in for a real treat.
(「Kono Ware Nomonotonare, Yuusha yo」「Kotowaru!」)
“「Be mine, Hero」「I refuse!」”
A fantasy deconstruction and a love story, shot through with lessons on politics, economics, human nature, and war that are relevant to our world today. That’s what we have in Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, and if the first episode is any indication, this is going to be a very good show.
(Kochira Komikku a^su . Suta^ Henshuubu)
“This is Comic Earth Star’s Editorial Staff”
Mangirl! is a series funny shorts about four female manga editors, with the operative word there being “funny”. I found myself chuckling multiple times during this first episode, and they even managed to fit something like story progression into only three minutes! Colour me impressed.
(Yama Dakeha Dame!)
“Anything But Mountains!”
Cute girls climbing mountains – that’s the premise behind Yama no Susume, and it’s exactly what you’re thinking it is. So why am I bothering to intro it? Because shorts are often ignored merely because they’re shorts, but if you like slice of life, this is a good one you may enjoy checking out.
