「Reverberation; 残響」 (Zankyou)
This episode was a great standalone feature and regardless of whether it’s a “filler” or actual material from the novels, I still think it adds to the story. It’s like the aftermath for the season finale and that’s why I didn’t mind revisiting it.

Zetsuen no Tempest may have a generic appearance, but a dramatic opening filled with quotes from Hamlet, great animation by the studio Bones, and powerful themes are more than enough to make up for it.

There’s plenty to take in, but the superb presentation of its opening episode and the foreboding of things to come makes Shin Sekai Yori a definite keeper for the season.

“The Greedy Ones who Cross Borders”
A stunning finale to a great season. Everyone comes together in one last great effort to grasp victory…and at the end of the day, even some of the losers are better off, with lovers once lost or newly found beside them. Beautifully done.

“The Wyvern Arrives”
I have to be honest, it was hard to be hyped for Boukoku no Akito. Yet somehow, seeing that the first OVA was finally available for viewing sparked a little something in me that only Code Geass is capable of.
