Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season – 01
「もう一度ラブライブ!」 (Mouichido Rabu Raibu!)
“Another Love Live!”
The second season is off to a sprinting start, but the narrative is leaving me a little worried.

「叶え!私たちの夢――」 (Kanae! Watashitachi no Yume–)
“May Our Dream Come True!”
Light and fluffy, peppy and frilly, and full of cute girls, shining optimism, and a $(#@ ton of J-Pop songs – that’s Love Live! School Idol Project in a sentence. Whether you watch depends on whether you like that sort of thing, but if you do, this one is done pretty well.
「君たちの名は?」 (Kimitachi no Na wa?)
“What’s Your Name?”
Get ready, the Love Live is about to start!
「まだ名もないキモチ」 (Mada Namonai Kimochi)
“This Yet Unknown Feeling”
Love Live! is back, we can all finally scream Hallelujah!

Love Live! S2 ended like it began – singing, dancing, smiling, and hamming it up like nobody’s business. But I finished the series smiling, so I think it did its job.

With more premieres scheduled to hit our screens tomorrow, I suppose we’d better give you an idea of what we’ll be covering, eh? So here it is – RandomC’s season schedule for Winter 2013!
As always, this is a tentative overview of RandomC’s plans for the new season. We’ll also be doing introductory posts about many of the shows we’re not covering, so if something catches one of our eyes, things will be shifted around to accommodate. The schedule will be updated to reflect any changes.
…more after the jump.
The fall may be upon us, but with El Niño in full effect and warmer than normal temperatures expected to continue, we’ll be keeping the spirit of summer alive as we go into the new season. First up are a slew of sequels, including the newest chapter of K in Return of Kings, the much anticipated second season of Haikyuu!!, the return of Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka??, the near final iteration of the Monogatari series in Owarimonogatari, and continuations of Hidan no Aria, Noragami, Owari no Seraph, and Shinmai Maou no Testament. Rounding out the mix are an assortment of light novel and manga adaptations, highlighted by Heavy Object (bought to you by the creator of Index/Railgun) and One-Punch Man, as well as the arrival of a new original Gundam series in Tekketsu no Orphans. Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider also warrants mention for its award-winning source material, adding a much needed mystery series and showing off the assortment of genres the fall has to offer. Ultimately, it’s a great season for those who wanted sequels to the aforementioned series, but the lack of other offerings (especially original series) makes this a weaker than normal fall season, and the season’s enjoyment may boil down to whether the other series pan out. Either way, it’s that time of the year again, and I’m proud to present to you Random Curiosity’s Fall 2015 Preview.

It’s that time of year again! While the snow’s melting outside and everyone’s out watching cherry blossoms bloom, the folks at RC have been busy preparing this spring’s anime preview. It features a total of 42 new shows, and many of them might sound familiar. There’s the long-awaited Mushishi Zoku Shou, a new season of FAIRY TAIL, the last saga of Dragon Ball Kai, and Soul Eater Not!, a spinoff of the original Soul Eater. Along with the familiar old shows, there always seems to be a new trend every season. This time I couldn’t help but notice the number of shows about NEETs (Mekaku City Actors, No Game No Life), and a healthy dosage of sports anime (Baby Steps, Haikyuu!!). There’s no shortage of different genres this season either – with not one, but two reverse harems, some great original mecha, and some much needed romance. It’s definitely not a season to be skimping on your watch list, so be prepared for a season of high expectations. Oh! And of course, a special thank you to you for reading!

With winter already upon us and the third year of the Tyranny of Stilts set to begin, it’s time to introduce you to the upcoming anime season. Last season was strangely weak for fall, with many of the most highly anticipated series ending in disappointment while only a few dark horses stepped up to pick up their slack. Can winter, traditionally one of the weaker seasons, do any better? I think it may be able to, and that’s not just my eternal optimism talking. This season is pleasantly plump with original series, including the anime-saving space adventure SPACE☆DANDY, the ridiculous interplanetary mecha brawl Nobunaga the Fool, the world dominating loli fantasy Sekai Seifuku ~Bouryaku no Zvezda~, and the magical courtroom procedural Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil. Notable adaptations include the magical fantasy mish-mash Witch Craft Works, the airborne epic Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta, the Shaft harem romcom Nisekoi, and another ridiculous Nobunaga-based sci-fi romp in Nobunagan. There are encouraging sequels as well, including a second season of the perverted slice-of-life comedy Seitokai Yakuindomo, another season of ridiculously awesome mahjong with Saki Zenkoku-hen, the second cour of the deep agriculture coming-of-age story Gin no Saji, and the second season of KyoAni’s delusional romcom Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! There’s a lot of enjoy this winter, so join me for Random Curiosity’s Winter 2014 Season Preview. Read on to find out what you should be watching.
