I can’t seem to put my finger on it but something felt a little off during this week’s episode.

Man, it seems that all my shows are going to tackle the hardships and aches that come with loss this week.

In a rather unexpected move, it seems we’ll have to wait at least one more week before things start getting serious.

After all that’s happened in the past few weeks, this episode actually felt pretty tame!

While she’s no Arachne or Medusa, the scorpion-esque Shaula is actually quite the little bitch.

「ここはリアルファイト!」 (Koko wa Riaru Faito!)
“This is a Real Fight!”

I think this episode was a good middle ground between giving NOT the freedom to be what it wants to be while catering a bit more to the original audience that the original anime created.

“Invitation Fighting!”

Things finally got a bit fired up if you catch my drift! (BADPUN, SORRY)

This week’s episode made me ask myself a real serious question — if I was given the opportunity would I rise up to the challenge of being a captain hero?

“The Witch of the Girl’s Dorm”

While I would love to see a bit more action, I can appreciate just how well Soul Eater NOT is handling its position as a side story that’s focused on the majority of the student body at the DWMA.

「女子寮あらかると!」 (Joshiryou A Ra Karuto!)
“Girl’s Dorm a la Carte!”

After the awesome fight scene that ended last week’s episode, this week’s takes a more subtle approach and brings the focus back to everyday life in Death Vegas and just how difficult it is to live on your own.

“Welcome to the DWMA!”

The cameos are strong in this one.

Maka and Soul enter into a resonance of souls, but their power isn’t enough to hurt Ashura.

Summary:
Inside the room, the black and white Soul claims that he’s stuck there because he used the black blood too much and got most of his soul engulfed in the madness of the black blood.

Summary:
After Ashura kills and consumes Arachne’s soul, he transforms and surrounds himself with a barrier.
