Tokyo ESP – 01
(Shiroi Shoujo)
“White Girl”
It’s like X-men in Toyko, and the bad ESPers have the upper hand. Also, it’s bloodier.

(Tento ni Tomarou!)
“Let’s Sleep Over in a Tent!”
Yama no Susume is back, and each episode has a 13-minute run-time instead of a lonely 3-minutes. It makes the transition smoothly.
「イリヤgrow up!?」 (Illya Grow Up!?)
“Illya Grow Up!?”
The second season is here, and it’s good. The animation, the soundtrack, the laughs, they’re all there–but how far can the season go?
(Hyouigattai! Momokyunsoudo!!)
“Spiritual Union! Momo Kyun Sword!!”
Yup, this is a fanservice show. And as a fairy tale, it doesn’t fare well.

Goodbye, spring. Well done, everyone. |
Before you get too wrapped up in the new summer shows, let’s take a look back at spring and talk about the parts that were great (and/or not so great). Mainly great though. What can I say? We’re an optimistic bunch!
(Sono Koi wa, Shoujo Mangaka Sarete Yuku.)
“This Love… Is Being Turned Into a Shojo Manga”
Solid romcom antics with a comic bent. If you like your romance with a heavy helping of laughter and laid-back pacing, know that this Dogakobo anime is going well so far.

Shipping Nico x Maki so hard! |
Love Live! S2 ended like it began – singing, dancing, smiling, and hamming it up like nobody’s business. But I finished the series smiling, so I think it did its job.

Now that you know what’s airing, it’s time to tell you what we’ll be blogging! This is Random Curiosity’s Summer 2014 blogging schedule.
As always, this is a tentative overview of our plans for the new season. We’ll also be doing introductory posts on many of the shows we’re not covering, so if something catches our eyes, things will be shifted around to accommodate. The schedule will be updated to reflect any changes.
“Rule Number 10”
A game within a game within a game. Kuuhaku’s target is never the one in front of them, but them, their next opponent, and everything else standing between them and the game against Tet. Long live the Elkian Federation!
「九校戦編V」 (Kyuukou Sen Hen V)
“Nine Schools Competition Part V”
An accident, an investigation, a gamble, and a lot of talking.
