Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season – 01
「もう一度ラブライブ!」 (Mouichido Rabu Raibu!)
“Another Love Live!”
The second season is off to a sprinting start, but the narrative is leaving me a little worried.

「入学編I」 (Nyuugaku-hen I)
“Enrollment Part I”
A complex world filled with highly competent characters. They opened up a lot of questions, which leaves me wanting to know more.
「少年と竜」 (Shounen to Ryuu)
“A Boy and His Dragon”
Generic in both story and form.
「この奇跡は兢々」 (Kono Kiseki wa Kyoukyou)
“This Miracle Trembles”
Horrific card battles where girls battle it out to make their impossible wishes come true–perhaps. There are only hints of darkness so far, along with characterization and plot that is just a tad uneven.

Happy endings are worth fighting for. |
After its first season, some said the Magi anime didn’t deserve the second season it was getting. If so, they made good of the chance they were given. From story to animation, character development to action, from heart-wrenching tragedy, complex villains, lots of Extreme Magic, and a climax that built on everything that came before it, the anime found redemption.
This is a finale snapshot, so spoilers ahoy! Feel free to read if you don’t mind being spoiler though, because I just might convince you that you need to watch the second season.

Not covering |
Now that you know what’s airing this spring, it’s time to tell you what we’ll be blogging! This is Random Curiosity’s Spring 2014 blogging schedule.
As always, this is a tentative overview of our plans for the new season. We’ll also be doing introductory posts on many of the shows we’re not covering, so if something catches our eyes, things will be shifted around to accommodate. The schedule will be updated to reflect any changes.
I repeat, DO NOT PANIC! Though we are announcing fewer shows than usual, that doesn’t mean this is all we’ll blog. In addition to the series we’ve announced so for, you can expect introductory posts for Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, Captain Earth, Hitsugi no Chaika, Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin, Sidonia no Kishi, and M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane (among others), with an eye towards picking them up.
「プリンと美月の決意/桜Trick」 (Purin to Mitsuki no Ketsui / Sakura Trick)
“Pudding and Mitsuki’s Decision / Sakura Trick”
The two sister yuri love triangle comes to a head as the sakura petals fall.
Final impressions included.
「わかってる? わかってる」 (Wakatteru? Wakatteru)
“You Understand? I Understand”
Amid the snowy night, their relationship grows a little closer one more time.
「天秤祭」 (Tenbin-sai)
“Libra Festival”
Amid the chaos of the Libra Festival, Shiroe meets a very, very dangerous woman. It looks like Shiroe has his eyes set on something bigger than going home, and we’re getting a Season 2, woohoo!
Final impressions included.
「会長はスミスミなのじゃ!/桜色の真実」 (Kaichou wa Sumisumi na no ja! / Sakurairo no Shinjitsu)
“The President is Sumisumi! / Cherry Blossom-Colored Truth”
Sumisumi loves oppai! The new pint-sized seitokaichou led to Haruka & Yuu’s secret getting out, but the drama quickly moved from external to internal, and was all the better for it.
