Had the anime made us wait any longer for Rin to do his thing, I probably would have exploded from too much anticipation.

“Through Thick and Thin”

While we’re still waiting for our juicy, juicy payout in the form of an amazing climax to this whole Kyoto tomfoolery, this week’s episode did a fantastic job at upping the ante.

「父子相伝」 (Fushisouden)
“From Father to Son”

Now that’s what I’m talking about — big monsters (demons?) and even bigger problems!

「気炎万丈」 (Kienbanjyou)
“Like A Fire Burning Bright”

This was probably my favorite episode thus far.

「綿裏包針」 (Mennrihoushin)
“A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing”

It’s always nice to get some backstory on characters both new and old.

“Mysterious Connections”

Even though this was another setup episode, the stuff it’s alluding to looks like it’s going to be super fun.

“Act of Treachery”

This week’s episode had a very important lesson that we all could learn from.

It may have taken three weeks but I finally felt like I watched a true Ao no Exorcist episode.

Am I the only person who still can’t remember most from the first season? Then again, I think the most important thing is that I remember who Shiro was since he was the best badass.

「嚆矢濫觴」 (Koushiranshou)
“Small Beginnings”

Back into the fray five years later, and halfway through the previous season. Ao no Exorcist is back.

“Ao no Exorcist’ The Movie”

Ao no Exorcist holds a special place in my heart because it was the first regular series I blogged on RC, so it’s nice to be back writing about it after a long absence.

「クロの家出」 (Kuro no Iede)
“Kuro Runs Away From Home”

If you’re tempted to skip over this OVA as a superfluous extra – don’t. It might not be essential to the overall plot, but it’s highly rewarding just the same.

「時よ止まれ」 (Toki yo Tomare)
“Stop Time”

The ending for the anime of the manga that isn’t ending anytime soon wasn’t really an ending at all. But stay tuned for the movie…
