Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 13 (END)

(Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu!)
“Idiots, Tests, and Summoned Beings!”

I’ll admit that I’m going to hold on to this hope that Minami will eventually be the one who will win Akihisa’s heart. However, after watching Himeji suddenly gain the confidence to let her true emotions just flow right out of her, I’m beginning to see why so many of you like her so much.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 12

(Baka to Douke to Chinkonka (Rekuiemu))
“Idiots, a Fool, and Requiem”

It only took 11 episodes for it to finally come, but the ESB’s are finally back… sort of. If you remember how popular episode 4 was when the chibi version of everyone’s summons were flying around making a mess by revealing everyone’s secrets, this one hit the opposite end of the spectrum. Instead of cute, we get a combination of sexy and quite literally flat.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 11

(Yuuji to Shouko to Osanai Omoide)
“Yuuji, Shouko, and their Childhood Memories”

Color me surprised, but I never expected that an episode focused solely on Shouko and Yuuji would be one of the better ones from a show that’s supposed to be about the laughs. Actually, if the rest of the episodes were this deep than there might not even be a need to bring back those slapstick jokes!

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 10

(Boku to Koiji To Renaijutsuu)
“Me, Romance, and the Art of Love!”

I don’t know how he did it, and I don’t really care how he did it, but he did it. Somehow clawing his way back from the brinks of death, at least romantically, Akihisa has once again proved his worth as the stupidest but best protagonist of the season.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 09

(Boku to Koiji to Kousyoujutsuu!)
“Me, Romance, and Democracy!”

Akihisa, you are the biggest moron in the world. In terms of KY, or understanding how to read the situation, you score below zero points. Seriously, how dense do you have to be to miss the intense amounts of love being shot in your direction?

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 07

(Boku to Nozoki to Harukanaru Tougenkyou)
“Me, Peeping, and the distant Shangri-La”

When you’re manhandled into a corner by the opposite gender, the only acceptable counterattack is too bring a bigger gun to the gun fight. Or in this case, enough guys to mow down all the opposing forces.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 06

(Boku to Nozoki to Otoko no Yuujou)
“Me, Peeping, and BROTHERHOOD”

I can’t recall the last time a show decided to break the fourth wall, but Baka Test’s narrator definitely sounded pretty pissed this week. All jokes aside, it’s beginning to feel a wee bit tedious with the collective brain power of our four three guys failing to discover their blackmailer.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 05

(Boku to Nozoki to Kyouka Gasshuku!)
“Me, Peeping, and Training Camp!”

I still can’t place my finger on what exactly was so good about this episode, but all the different points that I factor in while watching Baka Test was all there. Starting with some ridiculous problem that Akihisa and friends have to deal with, there apparently was a school festival between episode four and five. And during this festival, both Akihisa and Yuuji had to do things that they’d rather not remember and are getting blackmailed with it.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 04

(Boku to Honne to Otoko no Songen!)
“Me, Dignity, and a Man’s Dignity!”

What time is it? It’s time to return to what made this show one of the best comedies I’ve ever watched. A little bit of dark humor combined with some chocolate, laced with what I can only assume was alcohol, started off the funniest episode of the season. Who would have thought that a quick game of the Japanese version of BS could turn into a torture session for our male leads?
