「西瓜(トモキ)喰います」 (Suika (Tomoki) Kuimasu)
“Eating Watermelons (Tomoki)”
You would think that if you paired up the smartest first generation angeloid with the dumbest, some middle ground would be reached in terms of collective intelligence. However, things don’t quite add up that way in practice as Astraea brings out the worst in Nymph. Stealing from Ikaros’ watermelon garden. Now that’s just stupid.
「パンドラマイドサービス」
“Pandora Maid Service”
There are bad jokes, okay jokes, and pretty good jokes. Then there are laugh your ass off and accidentally shoot coke out of your nose jokes.
Kawada Mami, member of I’ve Sound, is an artist who probably needs no introduction among anime fan circles, having produced singles for several highly popular and prolific series such as Shakugan no Shana, Hayate no Gotoku!, and of course, Toaru Majutsu no Index. Looking at that list, it seems like in the roughly five years since the release of her first single, SEED, she’s become J.C.Staff’s go-to-girl for songs for their higher budgeted and advertised, multi-seasonal shows. Being a rather big Mami fan myself, enjoying every song she’s put out for Shana and Index, I immediately went to listen to the single of No buts!, released last week (11/3) the first chance I got.
… More after the jump.
「水族館で逢いましょう」 (Suizokukan de Aimashō)
“I’ll see you in my Aquarium”
After knowing Tsukimi for a while, Kuranosuke has never looked at her “that” way. However, after seeing her entranced in a pure state with her love for jellyfish, he now finds himself questioning continuously where these “strange” feelings are coming from.
「虚空歌姫~イツワリノウタヒメ~」 (Itsuwari no Utahime)
“The False Songstress”
Given that this movie premiered in theaters almost a year ago, the anticipation towards watching it had naturally dwindled since then. However, as a long-time fan of the Macross franchise, the Blu-Ray release of this movie quickly took me back to 2009 once I saw the drastic visual improvements over its television counterpart. With new songs, concerts, more focus on the relationships, and mostly new animation, this retelling proved to be a real treat for those who have already seen Frontier.
「桜井梨穂子編 第三章 ヒキツギ」 (Sakurai Rihoko-hen Dai Sanshou – Hikitsugi)
“Sakurai Rihoko Chapter 3 – Inheriting”
For a childhood character, there were probably numerous ways they could have spun Rihoko’s story. Going against the norm, it’s already gone beyond the usual Christmas cut-off for a conclusion and made it to New Year’s Day.
「ワタシ平凡?」 (Watashi Heibon?)
“I’m Mediocre?”
“Insecure” was the word that escaped me last episode when trying to describe Kanon; however, it looks like there’s more to her than meets the eye (… and no, I don’t mean she’s a Transformer).
