It’s a Reverse World alright, not only in the sense of the anti-government organization revolting against underground spirit amber experiments on humans, but also in how nothing is what it seems. The strict social status requirements on stepping foot into Akatsuki already pose several questions on exactly what the government is doing there — or what it can get away with — but the appearance of an ex-Bee and dingo duo who are now inspectors from the capital does as well when they turn out to be Marauder spies.

I admit it. I love Bakuman. Not only for the great story, or the detail they put into it when they talk about mangka things. I love it because of how they make it feel real. I don’t know about you, but I’ve attempted to do the fusion dance multiple times with my best friend. I shortly followed up with getting super mad at him when he didn’t say the words right and messed up on his form. Who wants to end up being a fatty when they fuse together!?

Similar to how the game introduces new characters and robots every stage or so, the anime follows suit and adds a bunch of faces back into the mix every episode. Of those, names such as Ingram were alluded to by Viletta, whereas Aya’s sister Mai is believed to be inside the core fragment salvaged from the Judecca mobile weapon, a.k.a. White Death Cross.

Mr. Moriaka, you have such a strange sense of humor. I understand that you really don’t like Hotori. I understand that she is fundamentally the only reason why you can no longer enjoy life. But the point to which you stress over her failing your quizzes and exams is just plain overkill. It’s making your hair fall out for god sake!

With the beautiful and respectful Ayase showing a drastically different side of her and Kyousuke worrying about her friendship with Kirino ending more than she was, I would’ve thought that receiving a swift kick to the groin was a good sign for Kyousuke to start rethinking why he’s going to such lengths for his little sister.

It’s kind of hard to believe it’s been eight months since the release of the first episode of Gundam series that marks the long-awaited return to the Universal Century timeline, but Sunrise sure made it well worth the wait. With each episode being an hour long and production quality that doesn’t disappoint one bit, this is more akin to a six-part movie series like Break Blade and worthy of a theatrical release if the story is broken up accordingly.

Compared to the first season, this sequel appears to be taking off much quicker on the relevant story side of things as the focus shifts back to the mysteries surrounding Synapse. The man of the (half) hour is none other than Eishirou, who plunges back into a Dive Game and makes his proclamation against the Master of the Sky. Oh now it’s on!

There’s a whole mess of confusion within me from watching this half. Is it the urge to be disgusted from an episode devoted to boogers? That said boogers are so abundant, and shooting everywhere, or that they look exactly like Stocking’s sweets? How about that Stocking eats said sweets, but soon eats those boogers too, but the cognitive dissonance of seeing it still as a sweet, but knowing it’s a booger just rips the mind apart?
