Jormungand: Perfect Order – 09
「New World phase.2」
The path toward Koko’s new world continues and it’s one paved with people wanting their own piece of the pie. And if this episode illustrates anything, it’s that we’re in for a darn awesome ride.

「あとは、沈黙」 (Ato wa, Chinmoku)
“The Rest, Is Silence”
While this series is set in a fascinating dystopian society just begging to be explored, it is also populated with equally fascinating psychopathic inhabitants who deserve just as much focus, if not more. Much can be learned about a society from the people who are most affected by it.
「秋の嵐がやってきた」 (Aki no Arashi Gayattekita)
“An Autumn Storm Blows In”
Enter Rita Einswoltz, the busty, blonde-haired ex-roommate of Mashiro’s who throws Sorata’s mind back into chaos.
「クリスマス」 (Kurisumasu)
“Christmas”
I laughed, I raged, I hit the computer. I loved characters, I hated characters, but most of all, I was impressed.
「学食を救え」 (Gakushoku o Sukue!)
“Save the School Cafeteria!”
It’s becoming increasingly obvious to me that my view on Little Busters and the general zeitgeist are two ships passing in the night, likely never to meet again. But in the immortal words of George Costanza, “Jimmy crack corn, and I don’t care.”
「王子の責任」 (Ouji no Sekinin)
“The Prince’s Responsibilities”
I cannot possibility imagine how powerful Sinbad would be if he didn’t lose all his metal vessels…
「闇よりも」 (Yami Yorimo)
“Than Darkness”
You’d have to be pretty cold-hearted not to feel the least bit sympathetic for Shun and Saki.
「裂ける未来」 (Sake ru Mirai)
“The Future Tears Open”
The animation quality gets a boost this week and it couldn’t have come at a better time. As our protagonists fight back, we get the unveiling of the newly painted Shiranui, the return of Yui’s Type-00F Takemikazuchi, F-15 Active Eagles, F-16 Fighting Falcons, and SU-37s. Oh my!
