Shakugan no Shana III (Final) – 03

「旅立つために」 (Tabitatsu Tameni)
“Before Hitting the Road”

I don’t know what came over J.C. Staff but this third episode just felt a little out of place. If it was intended to build up some tension before that awesome fight that the preview alluded to, they could have at least made this episode more than just flashbacks! Judging from the comments that episode one got, it probably would have made a lot more sense to air this last week instead of this week.

Shakugan no Shana III (Final) – 01

「失われた存在」 (Ushinawareta Sonzai)
“Lost Existence”

After re-watching season one and blasting through season two like it was nothing, I was extremely excited that I didn’t have to wait years to witness the beginning of the conclusion to this awesome series. Holding my breath as I clicked play, I was blown away with how spectacular everything looked.

It’s been a long month. Normally I’ll finish a book of this size in around ten hours, give or take a few depending on language level and page count. In the case of Zero no Tsukaima, the span of an entire novel can be cleared in one or two days’ time. With this first volume of Shakugan no Shana, it took me a full month. I know you’ve been worried in my absence, but there’s no need; I’m back now. I have served my time. And I can finally taste freedom again.
