Suddenly, the prospect of falling in love doesn’t seem so appealing when the potential wife could also double as the younger sister now, does it?

There weren’t too many surprises in the first episode of Koichoco, but there were at least enough twists to make the road seem like it might be an interesting one.

This show features a shamelessly manipulative but kind-hearted bitch (voiced by Hanazawa Kana) facing off against a super droll, extremely violent, and frequently cosplaying God of Misfortune (voiced by Uchiyama Yumi, of A-Channel fame). It is also hilarious! I mean, just look at that episode title. I SENSE MUCH POTENTIAL IN THIS ONE!!

「機械人形」 (Kitai Ningyo)
“Machine Doll”

If there’s a single word I would use to describe Shining Hearts, it would be “pretty”. Mind bogglingly, awe-inducingly pretty. It’s like Production I.G. felt like they had something to prove – there’s almost no doubt that Shining Hearts is one of the most visually-pleasing shows this season has to offer.

This is the story of a disagreeable young woman and a stupid young man…but not in the same way as most anime.
