Aquarion EVOL – 08

「さらけだせ」 (Sarakedase)
“Expose Yourself”

Whoa whoa whoa. Someone needs to step in and tell Mix that Zessica can wear whatever the heck she wants. Let’s not get hasty now and tell her to cover up that midriff of hers. As far as I’m concerned, she’s free to tease us about what color her “underwear” is and tear off her clothes in battle to get a better feel for her surroundings (naked Gundam Newtype style).

Gundam AGE – 19

「アセムの旅立ち」 (Asemu no Tabidachi)
“Asem’s Journey”

Koshimizu Ami in Gundam is one thing, but I wasn’t expecting a Diva bridge crew with Kawasumi Ayako and Noto Mamiko in addition to Hanazawa Kana. What’s more, there are two more pilots voiced by Yusa Kouji and Sakaguchi Daisuke, the latter of whom is no stranger to Gundam having starred as Uso Ewin in Victory Gundam. What more could a Gundam fan ask for in terms of cast?

Rinne no Lagrange – 07

「曇り のち 鴨川」 (Kumori nochi Kamogawa)
“The Cloudy Kamogawa Afterward”

The poverty-stricken past, the female bonding, the midnight skinny dipping, the mispronunciations of Villagiulio — can this show ever do any wrong? There wasn’t a single Vox in sight this episode and it was easily one of the best so far, further emphasizing the multifaceted nature of this original series that keeps me coming back for more.

Ano Natsu de Matteru – 07

「先輩の気持ち。」 (Senpai no Kimochi.)
“Sempai’s Feelings.”

Well it’s reassuring to know that my read on anime hasn’t completely deteriorated over the years and that I can still pick up on some subtle signs when I see them, as the reason for Kaori’s sudden feelings for Kaito was pretty much what I was thinking.
